Reimagining the future of music

The advent of music NFTs has ushered in a new era of engagement, where artists and collectors embrace blockchain technology to create art and communities in unprecedented ways. From decentralized music marketplaces to platforms facilitating fractional ownership in royalties, the space has progressed in the span of mere years.

Despite the new NFT projects that have arisen, none have allowed fans to own actual pieces of a music track and contribute to the whole collection through remixing.

Genesis and Enigma, the original drops

The Euler Record is a limited edition set of algorithmically generated art and music based on the Euler number and the Euler's totient function. Genesis and Enigma are two sides of this Euler Record. They contain 27 ultra-scarce generative NFTs in each set, utilize a bonding curve price mechanism, and implement staking for Genesis-Enigma print pairs.

Futura, the next frontier

Futura, the third NFT project powered by EulerBeats features 8080 randomly generated Futura Mix NFTs and 11 limited edition Futura Master NFTs. Ushering in remix culture, each Futura Mix is an original piece of music created from multiple combinations of musical building blocks that are divided into sections, layers, and clips. The unique generative art accompanying each Futura Mix employs the use of a Möbius strip based on the combination of traits contained within the music for an infinite visual loop.

What makes EulerBeats’ Remix Studio unique?

Remix Studio is a platform that allows you to take your Futura Mixes and remix them into new tracks, featuring composite NFTs, royalties, and live metadata assembly on-chain.

Nested NFTs

Each Futura Mix is comprised of up to 30 clips that are individual NFTs. These unique clips (440 in total) are hand-crafted musical segments by the EulerBeats team. Clip owners are the artists behind the collection; mix owners are the fans that own the generative track and can experiment with the supply/rarity traits of the collection through remixing. Remix Studio allows you to play around with the individual clips of two Futura Mixes to create a unique Futura remix.

Clip Royalties

Clip owners, usually the artists behind the collection, can receive royalties every time a remix containing their clip is minted. By participating in our upcoming quests starting today, you have the opportunity to win and become a clip owner, experiencing royalty payments when remixes are created. Get ready by joining our Discord, following us on Twitter, and visiting our space on Crew3 to increase your chances of becoming a clip owner.

Not all clips will have the same likelihood of occurrence, some will be rarer than others!

Live assembly

When you use EulerBeats' Studio to play a Futura Mix and Remix, you are witnessing a live assembly of the NFT traits in action, like an orchestra of metadata. Our team has designed a custom web player that loads the required files for your chosen mix, orchestrating the sounds and 3D animation. Unlike pre-rendered videos, you're not watching a static clip, but experiencing a real-time rendition of the selected mix, assembled right in your browser. You can also enjoy our standalone web player when playing a mix on OpenSea or integrating with the matrix player and the Remix Studio available on eulerbeats.com.

How do I use Remix Studio?

We are hosting a live webinar on April 7th showcasing Remix Studio in action by spinning up Futura remixes on-chain and answering community questions. Sign up to join! 

In order to start remixing on April 17th, you will need at least two Futura Mixes. Note: Since the mint period has concluded, Futura Mixes are only available on the secondary market.

1. Connect your wallet containing your Futura Mixes to EulerBeats

2. Navigate to Remix Studio

3. Select the two Futura Mixes you want to remix (Input A and Input B)

4. Play around with the traits! Within the clips matrix, choose between A or B for each musical section to craft your remix

5. Preview the audio and visuals, and adjust your clip selection until you’re happy with the output

6. Once your remix is ready, you have 3 options:

   1. Keep both of your input Futura Mixes (A and B) to mint your remix at the listed price

   2. Burn one of your input Futura Mixes (A or B) to mint your remix at half the price

   3. Burn both of your input Futura Mixes (A and B) to mint your remix at no additional cost

7. Approve the transaction in your MetaMask wallet

And that’s it. Share it with your network, tag us, and enjoy your new track.

We have and hope to continue to foster deep appreciation for this level of artwork. The ideas behind Futura and Remix Studio are proofs of concept to validate the idea that an artist can put out clips and users can remix with them seamlessly.
