The Challenge

Starting with 0 Twitter followers, and a Discord of <100 people, how big can we grow in 14 days and only a few Tweets?

How we did it

Using Pandora’s Box Discord Bot, we created a series of tasks to mobilize our Discord community. Each task was designed to drive viral growth for our Twitter account. Any community members who completed these tasks were rewarded with Discord Roles that provide access to whitelists. All we had to do was set up the parameters at the start, then this program ran itself with no human intervention.

  • Pre-Task: Post a specific pre-written tweet with a unique signature to prove ownership of the twitter account.

*This allows Pandora’s Box to monitor the interactions of Discord members on Twitter in a non-intrusive way and reward them with roles. We had 10,000 people link their accounts by the end of the 10-day period.

  • Task #1: Like and retweet a specific tweet

*Drives virality for specific thread. In our case the message was an introduction to Pandora’s Box added value to investors and a CTA to retweet.

  • Task #2: Comment on the tweet and tag three people using specific keywords

*Supercharges tweet engagement, drives further virality as every 1 comment brings in 3 more people.

  • Task #3: Post a meme to Twitter with Pandora’s Box tagged

*Creates a groundswell of content on Twitter with thousands of Tweets about your project. Shows organic interest from the community, posting their own content about you, not just retweeting.

  • Task #4: Add a specific emoji/character in your Twitter nickname ('📦')

*Builds a sense of community through a shared identifier and creates FOMO for people who don’t know what it’s about.

All these tasks parameters are customizable and can be set by the owner of the bot. For example, you can verify whether a user has tagged specific accounts, or used certain keywords, language, or hashtags.

The Results

  • 25K MENTIONS

  • 20%+- engagement rate

  • 400K IMPRESSIONS

  • 950K PROFILE VIEWS

Overall, the results of this campaign are excellent, putting our Twitter presence on-par with well-established crypto and NFT projects in just 10 days. You could spend several ETH each week promoting tweets and still and not get results like this.

What made it work so well?

We turned each of our Discord members into evangelists for the project, creating a positive feedback loop. Our first few Discord members who completed the firsts tasks attracted 100 more, who attracted 1,000 more, who attracted 10,000 by the end of our ten-day period. The key to building these feedback loops is to assign clear tasks with clear rewards that incentivize the right behavior.

With the right tasks in place, it becomes a question of execution. Executing something like this manually would have required a large team working around the clock, and it still would have been slow and unreliable. With Pandora’s Discord Bot, execution is not a factor. It’s fully automated, handles unlimited scale, works instantly, runs 24/7, and doesn’t make mistakes.

This set of tasks works well, but it’s just one way to set up your engagement program. Pandora’s Box is customizable, so the parameters are all up to you to. We’re excited to see all the creative ways people growth-hack with our tool.

Key Takeaways

We used our own tool to build a strong Twitter and Discord presence. We started from nothing and it took less than two weeks. After configuring the bot with our five? community tasks, all we did was send five tweets. We believe almost any other project can follow this same formula to achieve similar results, if not better.
