Pirate Nation is back online and fully restored. You can now resume playing the game, crushing the Gauntlet, battling each other in PvP, and earning BOOTY Points.

We will follow up soon with some surprises we have in store but wanted to get the game back online for you ASAP without any further delay.

Please note that the Marketplace is still down and will come online as soon as possible.

A recap of what happened: Pirate Nation experienced an unprecedented outage on Sunday, May 12, due to a faulty update from one of our node providers, which resulted in the reversal of about 48 hours of gameplay (starting at roughly 11AM on Friday, May 10). The team has been working around the clock since then to bring the game back online and ensure gameplay resumes operations without any loss of player progress.

Throughout the recovery process, we conducted a full audit of the game and everyone's inventory and airdropped any missing funds or inventory items to all affected players. In some cases, players will notice that they have more items than they originally had. This is intentional as we want to make players fully whole and would rather overcorrect than miss anything.

A full list of changes and impacts are below for the period of gameplay between Friday at 11am ET and Sunday at 4pm ET (the “reversal period”):

• Any ship or skin purchases on the marketplace have been reverted accordingly:

  • ETH earned by sellers has been airdropped to their accounts

  • No ETH was spent by purchasers

  • All items sold during by the downtime remain in the sellers’ inventories

• Any ships crafted during the reversal period have been reverted and the crafting ingredients have been returned to player accounts

  • This also goes for any attachments added to your ships

• Any bounties started during the reversal period are no longer active

• Daily Streaks for BOOTY have been kept intact

• BOOTY Points may not show 100% correctly for everyone yet, but will be fixed later today

• BOOTY Points for both Normal & Hard Mode Gauntlet completion will be imminently awarded to all active players between May 1 - May 12 for Friday 10th, Saturday 11th, and Sunday 12th (amounting to 11,000 BOOTY per day)

• We have doubled referrals for those of you who want to go out and recruit more BOOTY disciples

• We have made the Hard Gauntlet FREE to enter for the next 7 days

We deeply apologize for the impact of this downtime; we have missed playing Pirate Nation every bit as much as you. Moving forward, we are working closely with our node provider and taking other measures to mitigate the risk of this incident reoccurring. We’re grateful for the incredibly heartwarming support, good vibes and levity (memes were ON POINT) that we received from you, our community, while we worked to restore the game.
