Today’s release is a big one as it includes an exclusive preview of Player vs. Player (PvP) for those players who have a Founder’s Pirate. Additionally, this update introduces tiered chests in Exploration. These chests can only be opened by a Pirate with the appropriate level, so level up your Pirates to access higher value chests! Finally, Hard Gauntlet rewards have been updated and now offer a chance at an exclusive “Dynasty” Ship Skin Shard in addition to better loot overall.
PvP Preview!
Players with a Founder’s Pirate will have access to an early look at PvP.
The PvP Preview will only be accessible via a “PvP Code'' that is generated when a player creates a lobby. Send this code to the player you are inviting so they can “Join” your game.
Click on the PvP Icon on the lower left Main Screen HUD to “Create” or “Join” a PvP lobby using the PvP Code system.
Game
Added level-locked, tiered chests that will be found while exploring.
Hard Gauntlet rewards have been revised and now offer a chance to earn the “Dynasty” Ship Skin Shard from the final battle of a Hard Gauntlet.
Fixed a bug in which elements of the HUD on Parrot’s Perch disappeared after fast traveling back to Parrot’s Perch with a Pirate not in their Ship.
Fixed a bug in which the Deck associated with a Pirate remained in the Player’s Deck Management page after the Pirate had been sold or transferred to another Player.
Fixed a bug in which the game’s music starts to play when returning to Parrot’s Perch from a Gauntlet.
New Bugs
Exploration chests can sometimes appear embedded in the ground on an Island. They can still be opened.
The Paste Code button functionality does not work on Firefox.
There is no way to exit a lobby after it is created. You will enter the PvP combat when the other player joins automatically. Otherwise, you will need to refresh the browser to exit the lobby you created.
Some cards do not function as designed currently. Specifically: Blinding Glare, Misdirection, and Thunderstruck.
Ship Skins do not show up in PvP Battles.
PvP is in an early state, and we expect there to be some undiscovered bugs. Please help us by reporting anything odd you see with this feature. Thank you :)
