Happy Holidays! Whether you're celebrating Festivus, Christmas, Hanukkah, Chrismukkah, or Kwanza, our last release of 2022 will be fun for the whole family. The team will be taking some much needed time off between Christmas and New Years so we can come back fully recharged in 2023 to continue building out the Pirate Nation universe. We also decided to leave you with a little holiday gift on the island.

Game

• We left you a little present to end the year with. We hope you like it!

• Poke your little pirate and see what happens.

• Your Pirate now gets a hangover if you drink too much. Be careful with how you use your Rum because you aren’t a young buck anymore.

  • Captain will become too drunk and be unable to drink more after replenishing 25 Energy via Rum. A meter will now appear on the Crew screen to indicate the level of Drunkenness. With each hour that passes, the Drunkenness meter will decrease by 1 point of Drunkenness.

• Our devs learned math and now all loot bags add up to 100%

• Poor/Common confetti are no longer depressing grayscale downers. Sorry about that.

• Quests no longer appear locked due to lack of Energy if the player uses Rum and then loads the Quests screen.

• Energy meter now updates more quickly when Rum is used.

• When you go up a level, you will be given accurate information about how much energy you will gain. Previously it was defaulted to +1.

• Slight adjustments made to the order of Quests for those who care about things like numerical order.

• Lots of call optimizations and other under the hood tuning to make things zippier.

• Find the Lost Isle of Gold quest now shows correct earnings in the reward screen.

Web

• The leaderboard rewards will be limited to the Top 10 Pirate Gold minters and will be calculated on a per pirate, versus per wallet, basis to level the playing field.

• Want to be selfish on the Activity tab? Now you can view “Only me.”

• Changed Pirate Nation name on Twitter to remove ALL CLAIMED. The Twitter Blue checkmark will restore itself shortly once Elon manually approves it.

• Added a little flair to Rainbow Wallet connect.

• Properly indexing the page on Google now. SEO FTW!

Dev Comments

• There are trillions of possible combinations and your Voxel Pirate may not perfectly reflect all of the traits in your 2D Founder’s Pirate. Below are some examples:

  • Colors for Hats, Tops, and Hair may be a little of

  • Zombie Voxel Pirates will not appear with the exact same hairstyle.

  • Angel Wings, Demon Wings, and Swords will not appear.

  • Voxel Pirates will not appear holding a map.

  • Voxel Facial expressions will not be as detailed.

  • Voxel Pirates will not have earrings. 

  • Voxel Pirates may have different facial hair.

• Energy meter progress does not update until the browser is refreshed.
