The past reflects is a mirror – a reminder of what was, a glimpse of what could be. The crypto space thrives on patterns, and with each passing year, we witness groundbreaking innovations that shape the industry. 2017 was the year of DeFi, 2021 ushered in NFTs, and 2023 saw the explosion of artificial intelligence and AI tokens. Galxe hasn't been left out in this wave of innovation. It has been making silent but giant moves – from Galxe Compass to Gravity Alpha Mainnet. While we may not accurately tell Galxe’s innovative direction for 2025 (I mean, we are not Charles Wayn), we can look back to 2024 and predict what to expect. For almost every month in 2024, Galxe had an innovative or a major announcement. These innovations provide insights into what the future holds. Here's a rundown of some of them.

These were made possible by Galxe’s major innovations and events throughout the year. Here are some of them.

New Year, New Tesla: The Galxe New Year Festival

Galxe kicked off the year with the Galxe New Year Festival that ran from Dec 26th to Jan 26th. The festival promised users $200K in GAL rewards and non-stop fun, including a $32K reward for the first place winner – an amount sufficient to buy a Tesla Model Rear Y-Wheel.

The festival was a leaderboard campaign that encouraged friendly, festive competition. It featured popular Web3 projects like Manta, Kroma, LightLink, Moso, and Sushi. All users had to do was participate in featured campaigns to rack up points and climb the leaderboard.

Aside from the $32K prize for the star winner, the top 100 users received $1000 each, while the next 700 users were awarded $100 each. More so, the community had the chance to mint any of the three New Year Festival NFTs – Rare, Standard, and Common.

Galxe Shop Opening

Also in January, the Galxe Shop was officially opened. Powered by Moso, Galxe Shop is a unique way to shop at your favorite online stores – including SPACE ID, AliExpress, Travala.com, NordVPN, and Shopify – while earning G token rewards on every purchase. When it launched, it offered more rewards to those with exclusive early access.

Galxe Compass: Charting New Web3 Territories

In March, Galxe gave airdrop hunting a facelift with Galxe Compass. Dubbed the airdrop navigator from the future, the product uses AI technology to curate selected projects, offering a seamless way for the Web3 community to explore, monitor, and gain rewards.

Three Cheers for Three Years: Galxe’s Anniversary Celebration

It was 3 hearty cheers for Galxe's 3rd anniversary in April and it was an opportunity for the company to highlight its achievements, unveil its evolving direction, and offer insights into its future. In three years, Galxe has accrued 18 million active users, attracted over 5,000 partners, created 221,000 credential sets, and had users complete 414 million quests.

Furthermore, it unveiled its new ecosystem that plays host to a suite of six products:

• Galxe Identity Protocol: Enables seamless identity and ZK-powered privacy preservation.

• Galxe Quest: Connects projects with millions of users through reward-based loyalty programs, fostering genuine community engagement.

• Galxe Passport: Offers a secure online verification solution that allows users to confirm their identity without compromising their privacy.

• Alva: Provides Web3 investors, traders, and airdrop hunters with instant real-time insights and comprehensive analyses.

Gravity Chain: Pulling Web3 Closer

June ushered in Gravity Chain, Galxe's layer-1 blockchain for the omnichain future. A smart contract platform, Gravity delivers an efficient, scalable, and secure process for managing complex cross-chain interactions. It prioritizes user-friendliness while shielding the user, through full-chain abstraction, from the complexities of on-chain interactions.

The blockchain was integrated within the Galxe ecosystem and suite of products. It was projected that with this integration, Gravity will process more than 60 million transactions per month.

Key features of Gravity Chain include cross-chain transactions, efficient verification, enhanced user experience, high-performance execution, secure and robust proof-of-stake (PoS) mechanism, and EVM compatibility. These features offer it the following use cases: balance abstraction with yield, intent-based transactions, gas abstraction, and omnichain loyalty points.

G: One Token for Token to Rule Them All

In July, the Galxe token ($GAL) became defunct as the Galxe ecosystem welcomed the Gravity token ($G). $G unites and optimizes Galxe and Gravity – driving governance decisions in G DAO, incentivizing growth, and facilitating payments for on-chain transactions and Galxe applications such as Galxe Quest, Galxe Passport, Galxe Score, Alva, and more. Moreso, it powers transactions as the token for gas fees and secures the network through staking.

The launch of $G also led to The Great MiGration as GAL holders converted their holdings to G. GAL holders on self-custodial wallets converted their GAL to G in a 1:60 ratio.

Galxe+: For Explorers Who Want More

As a company, Galxe never rests on its oars. At least, 2024 proved that. This is why it also gave users in August an opportunity to explore more of what it offers through Galxe+. Galxe+ was designed to give users an elevated Web3 experience like advanced Alva membership, priority access to new Galxe Quest features, smart savings monthly credits, complimentary Galxe Passport minting, and discounted Galxe Score minting. Galxe+ is offered in three tiers: Pro, Premium, and Unlimited.

The Telegram Mini App and 1.5 Million X Followers

November brought in the Telegram Mini App for users to explore crypto, earn rewards, and rack up GG points directly from Telegram. Also, Galxe hit 1.5 million X followers as its last major milestone for the year.

So What does 2025 Hold?

As mentioned earlier, we cannot accurately tell what to expect from Galxe this year, however, we are sure of two areas where the company will cast its focus: Galxe Compass and Gravity Chain.

Galxe Compass

On the 1st of January, Galxe tweeted: 2025: The Year of Airdrops. Lock in, explorers. This could only mean that all roads lead to Galxe Compass. It is expected that there will be more curated projects that may offer potential airdrops this year. We may also likely see an improvement in the workings of Galxe Compass. All the same, we can only guess and keep our fingers crossed.

Gravity Chain

For Gravity Chain, we don’t need to guess; we know what’s coming in 2025. When the blockchain was released last year, Galxe announced it will be launched in two phases. What went live last year was the first phase which released the Gravity Alpha Mainnet, powered by the Arbitrum Nitro stack. The Alpha Mainnet tested – and is still testing – cross-chain settlements in a transparent environment, thus validating Galxe’s commitment to high standards.

The second quarter of this year will see the full Mainnet launch which will feature “a restaking-powered PoS Layer 1 blockchain with Reth as its EVM execution engine.”
