In order to ensure a healthy and clear community discussion atmosphere, the microblog community continues to carry out special treatment of unfriendly speech, focusing on the remediation of online violence, mainly including the following six aspects:

1. Insult and abuse: release attacks and curses, and use dirty words to belittle others.
2. 2. Invasion of privacy: expose other people’s privacy, such as name, address, contact information, photos and other information, and publicly call on and guide other users to conduct irrational human flesh search.
3. 3. Rumor and slander: release negative information of subjective speculation on unproven network events; Deliberately fabricating false facts and infringing on others’ reputation.
4. 4. Belittle and humiliate: retaliate, vent anger, confuse the public, or label and define others through malicious screenshots and excerpts.
5. 5. Moral kidnapping: impose personal will on others, wear “colored glasses” to make an objective and irrational evaluation of others, and deliberately lead to the opposition of region, gender, wealth and so on.
6. 6. Offense and harassment: in special situations, although insulting and offensive words are not used, they publish shady and strange, malicious ridicule and other contents, causing offense and harassment to others.
7. From January to March 2022, Weibo dealt with a number of incidents, such as attacking athletes during the Winter Olympics, publishing offensive remarks through proposals during the two sessions, and divulging other people’s privacy during the epidemic, investigated and cleared more than 330000 illegal contents and disposed of more than 15000 accounts.
8. On March 23, the microblog launched the guidance reminder of “friendly comments, civilized speech” in the comment area, and pop-up reminders for users whose recent comments have been deleted or complained for many times. On April 14, the “one click protection” function of microblog was fully open to all users of the station. Microblog users can take the initiative to open it when they are attacked by speech. In the test stage, more than 60000 netizens have experienced relevant functions, effectively reducing the risk of speech attack.
9. The microblog said in the announcement that it called on the majority of netizens to express their views objectively and rationally on the network platform, not to create and spread rumors, and not to make statements attacking others and divulging others’ privacy. If any illegal content of online violence is found, users can report it through the front desk report and complaint portal and @ microblog administrator, and microblog will accept and deal with it in time. For suspected illegal and criminal acts, the station will actively cooperate with relevant departments to resolutely crack down.
