Big news – we’re excited to announce that the Stoodio has transitioned out of beta as of February 14th, 2024!
Early access to the Stoodio launched on April 28, 2023. Since then, we've been on quite the journey, gathering feedback from over 7,000 beta users and welcoming over 70,000 visitors who explored the Stoodio's features off-chain at CAMP. These insights have been invaluable, and have helped us shape our product vision and improve the user experience tremendously.
From today forward, the Stoodio will serve as the multichain epicenter for Doodles' immersive, blockchain-powered storytelling universe. Get ready to experience the future of storytelling!
What’s new?
Frictionless Onboarding: Our simplified onboarding experience means new users can easily create and customize their Doodles avatar in the Character Builder without needing to provide any personal information.
To save their avatar and take the first step into our community, new users will need to provide their email address, which will automatically generate a wallet behind the scenes. Next, they will be gifted a Starter Pack of digital wearables to kick-start their collecting journey without ever having to sign a transaction.
Algorithmic Feed: The Stoodio homepage is now an intelligent feed that adapts to your interactions. Whether you engage most with shopping, media, or community-generated content, the algorithm will customize your experience accordingly. Additionally, Shopify has been leveraged at the API level,which will allow us to trigger on-chain actions from in-store engagement and host Stoodio-native token-gated experiences all under one roof.
Mobile-First UI & NFC-Enabled Experiences: CAMP taught us that new users want to bring their Doodles avatars home with them. In order to facilitate this type of onboarding, we've rebuilt the Stoodio with a mobile-first mindset, which allows new users and OGs alike to explore the Doodles universe wherever they might be. Additionally, this enables us to leverage the NFC technology of our partners at IYK so that physical merchandise and IRL experiences can be utilized to unlock limited collectibles and deeper narratives within the Stoodio.
In the near future, all Doodles’ merchandise, IRL experiences, and digital content will have one-tap or one-click modes of attribution, meaning users can instantly gratify their lived experiences with digital collectibles that unlock further custom experiences online.
Token-Enabled Content: Enjoy exclusive token-enabled content and experiences based on your holder status and inventory. Over time, this will result in an immersive storytelling experience and a rewards system tailored to you.
Inventory management: Easily access, customize, and utilize all of your Doodles collectibles within a single view. As all collectibles are integral to the transmedia storytelling hub of the Doodles ecosystem, it’s important that everything that can be done with your NFTs can be done within the Stoodio. Going to space? Dooplicating a Doodle? Opening a Box? Listening to a song you've unlocked through a collectible? Yeah, you can do it all in your inventory.
Backgrounds: Introducing backgrounds for Doodle avatars! A growing selection of token-gated backgrounds will enable you to express yourself and customize your environment. New backgrounds will roll out as we go, some will only be available for a limited time, others will serve as exclusive token-gated badges of honor.
Social Sharing: PFP-cropping and native social sharing functionality means users can now easily showcase their Doodles avatars across social platforms.
Our Future Vision
As our mainline content reaches millions of users via upcoming launches and partnerships, the Doodleverse will continue to unfold and expand via an embedded system of co-creation within the Stoodio.
By blending IRL ⇄ URL with token-enabled storytelling, we will unlock unprecedented, immersive transmedia experiences that have yet to be realized via traditional methods.
