Watch out for this Web3 Battle Royale - Mighty Action Heroes! Here's why...

For those who enjoy intense survival battles and the adrenaline of wiping out the competition to be the last man standing, Battle Royale is the game genre that delivers the punch. Mighty Action Heroes (currently in early access), a multiplayer 3rd person battle royale, drops you into a battle arena against 19 other players, where you have to outwit and outgun your opponents to be the ultimate winner.

You might not have heard from them, but don’t sleep on it!

Here are the Top 3 reasons why you should not miss out on this game.

#1 - From Veteran Game Devs who developed Disney Melee Mania!

Since the rise and fall of GameFi in 2021, the space has been flooded with tons of auto-play games riding on the play-to-earn hype, which are mostly boring to play.

With the entry of more traditional Web2 game dev veterans, the future of GameFi is lit and we are bound to see games with great gameplay be delivered in the Web3 space soon.

Mighty Action Heroes is developed by Mighty Bear Games, developer of Disney Melee Mania on Apple Arcade.

They are a Singapore-based studio formed by a group of games industry veterans from King, Ubisoft, EA, Lucasarts, Disney, Gameloft, and more.

Pretty sizeable team with a diversity of genders within the team.

Veterans with triple-A and mobile-first experiences.

Delivered great games, and have with partners like Disney.

More importantly, what caught my attention in their team are the following:

I) They have a seasoned Web3 Lead who was a studied economist-turned-engineered and was the co-creator of My Crypto Heroes, handling development and NFT economy design. He is also a lead frontend dev for BlackPool.finance, helped to redefine DAO gamification with Yield Guild Games, and also strategized a Web3 inclusive future with G2 Esports.

Check out Michael Arnold on this Twitter: @marnold_mch

II) The one leading the marketing & community for Might Action Heroes, Mary-Anne has the experience of managing Blizzard communities of Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Heroes of the Storm!

With their track record and stellar team, I’m pretty excited to see the fun experiences they will bring to the Web3 space!

#2 - Raised 10M for Mighty Action Heroes!

A solid dev team with a proven track record backed by powerhouse investors such as Framework Ventures, Mirana, Sfermion, Polygon, Razer, and several well-known guilds like Avocado DAO, Ancient 8, etc.

Raising 10M through a token sale at the time was no easy feat, especially when the crypto market was entering a bear trend and most of the GameFi tokens are heading down a death spiral. The Mighty Bear team must have a lot in their belt to command such a maneuver.

#3 - Smooth & Intense Battles on a Web Browser!

Mighty Action Heroes first early access was on 16 Dec 2022 and it was lit! Playable on a web browser, the battles were smooth and mostly lag-free (I think the lag I experienced was due to my old gaming laptop).

Check out my first impressions tweets:

I’m loving the retro vibe music and art style and how this game delivers the core essence of Battle Royale in the early access without complicating it with too many features.

There are multiple weapons that are easily found across the map and their clean UI design allows you to jump into an immersive gaming experience.

If you are like me and enjoy running some random tests in games, here are some insights I have so far for Mighty Action Heroes:

Certainly, there is room to add other features to give players diversity in tactics and strategy, which the team has collected feedback on and is likely to introduce in future versions. (Yes, they continue to build as we speak)

Well, nothing beats your own first-hand experience. If you are keen to jump in and get a taste of the game, their 2nd Early Access is happening for a limited time during 13 Jan - 17 Jan 2023. Grab a Big Bear Syndicate PFP or MightyNet Genesis Pass via OpenSea to gain access.

Note: Always be careful of scam links. Use their official links via Twitter.

*Disclaimer

I) I own and hold the Mighty Action Heroes NFT (at the time of writing this article) which is required to play their early access. *

ii) As with anything in crypto and web3, do your own research before jumping in. This article is solely my opinion and thoughts after looking at the project.

Lastly… here’s some good to know

The Big Bear Syndicate is their MightyNet’s 1st gen PFP collection which grants you early access to Mighty Action Heroes. A total of 5,000 supply which was fully minted during Nov 2022, in less than 30 minutes.

Big Bear Syndicate reached an all-time high of 0.044 ETH and currently has been staying around the 0.02 ETH floor price.

Most of the PFPs seem to be held in large quantities by several NFT holders which could be limiting the number of players getting early access, which could explain why many people have not heard about this game yet.

In conclusion, I believe we are very early with Mighty Action Heroes and the MightyNet platform, where the team is still building out the product(s) that looks very promising.

If you are looking for an upcoming Web3 game with a development team made of veterans with a track record of delivering milestones, don’t sleep on this!
