Aptos Labs has granted $50,000 to Lorenzo Alvisi, a Professor of Computer Science at Cornell University, to support Web3 innovation in higher education.
Aptos Labs aims to address current blockchain limitations, such as:
usability and accessibility issues,
through research,
education,
the development of new cryptographic tools.
To ensure the future of Web3, Aptos Labs believes that it is crucial to encourage new research and provide a pathway for developers to kickstart their careers in Web3.
The grant will fund student research aimed at building a decentralized, fault-tolerant, secure, append-only log on top of a Byzantine-tolerant database to improve blockchain performance.
In addition, Aptos Labs has appointed Dr. Dan Boneh, a Stanford University Professor of Computer Science and an expert in applied cryptography, as an advisor to support their research and education efforts.
Aptos Labs has also sponsored academic hackathons and meetups at several blockchain-forward universities and shared their research on GitHub and YouTube.
It is also worth noting that the project is developing at a high speed, attracting not only finances but also very significant people. All this speaks of the scale of the project, as well as the quality approach to work.
Everyone has a chance to become a part of the project and contribute to the development of Aptos.
