A key feature of the metaverse is “choose your main character”. Whether it’s writing the Federalist papers under the pen name “Publius”, discussing the Bitcoin Whitepaper on anonymous online forums under the username “satoshi”, or amassing global audiences on Twitter / Twitch as anime characters, we’ve been living in the metaverse for centuries. We are deeply familiar with the desire to express parts of ourselves beyond the physical; the power that lies within curating our identities.

Yet as our lives grow increasingly digital, our most readily-available ways of showcasing our digital presence remain bound to usernames and profile pictures. Our initial products leverage the latest developments in 3D, machine learning, and Web3 to empower any online community to create and engage with virtual beings, goods, and experiences at scale. Our users can immerse themselves in their motion-tracked characters on any social, conferencing, or gaming platform through Hologram apps with one click. Our artists, using Hologram’s avatar creation framework, can scale their work to entire communities 100x faster than existing methods today.

The recent emergence of NFT communities onboarded some of the most passionate users who center their online identities and brands around their digital assets. In the past two months, we have been working with blue-chip NFT communities like Anata, Cool Cats, Deadfellaz, Crypto Coven, Froyoverse, The Idols NFT, and many others to bring their NFTs to life over video.

Beyond community partnerships, we have also been working with individual artists and creators to incubate their own drops. This is a crucial step in our vision towards an open economy in which identity-related digital assets (e.g. characters, fashion, animations) can be created, used, and exchanged freely.

We are also excited to announce that we’ve raised $6.5M in seed funding from incredible partners from different corners of web3, NFTs, gaming / entertainment, and AI. We’re ecstatic to bring on Polychain Capital as our lead for this round, who share our vision and high conviction from day one.
