Jac said that the main reason for the performance loss was that affected by the epidemic and chip shortage, JAC sold 129400 cars and chassis from January to March 2022, a year-on-year decrease of 11.67%. At the same time, the price rise of chips, batteries and other raw materials led to the increase of input costs. The gross profit of its main business from January to March 2022 decreased by about 418 million yuan compared with the same period of the previous year. In addition, the income from asset disposal affecting profit and loss during the reporting period was about 08 million yuan, a decrease of about 158 million yuan over the same period of last year.

On March 24, the annual report disclosed by JAC showed that JAC achieved an operating revenue of 40.214 billion yuan in 2021, a year-on-year decrease of 6.11%; The net profit attributable to the shareholders of the listed company was 200 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 40.24%; A net loss of RMB 1.884 billion was deducted. As of the closing on April 15, JAC motor reported 9.21 yuan / share, with a total market value of 20.1 billion yuan, down nearly 20% since March 25.

According to public information, in April 2016, JAC signed an agreement with Weilai automobile to produce cars for Weilai. In May 2021, JAC signed a three-year cooperation agreement with Weilai, and the annual OEM capacity was expanded to 240000 vehicles.
