Hey there! This is the beginning of our Mirror posting and we want to start with answering the questions we have received during our very first AMA. Once again we want to thank everyone who sent us questions!
Hello Mark, we are asking a lot but what do you need from us?
Hey guys, a rough start is the best place to start. We require more community feedback to enhance aspects that extend beyond just development.
Could you please provide an update on the status of the PeckShield audit that was scheduled to be published at the beginning of last month?
It has been released: https://github.com/SatoshiVM/audit-reports
Do you have a plan to push DEX tools to support SatoshiVM alpha Mainnet? Main useful tools:1. Bitget; 2.DEXTools; 3.DeBank; 4.Collab.Land.
DeBank already supports SatoshiVM Alpha Mainnet. More Web3 wallets and DeFi analytics platforms are in the process of integration. We expect to share more updates with the community in the next week or two.
Bool Network, a key partner, has had a Testnet campaign running for a while now that also rewards SatoshiVM bridge users but you have not mentioned. Why is that?
We have discussed with the Bool team regarding this inquiry recently. Their previous events were relatively small-scale, focusing more on product testing with minimal promotion. They are about to launch a new version of Testnet and the corresponding campaign is scheduled to launch soon, with us as one of the major participants. Please stay tuned.
Do you have any plans to add some d-app starter code on our GitHub? It will help the ecosystem development, as well as keep our GitHub activity.
Yes and it is In progress: https://github.com/SatoshiVM/scaffold-eth-2
Could you please provide an update on the AI project that was scheduled for release at the beginning of last month?
The AI project team had to push back the release because of a big version upgrade. We're now expecting it to go live by the end of this month. The active Alpha Mainnet participants will be the first to benefit.
When will Mark Williams have a chat with the group? How close are you to your communities (Telegram/Discord) ? Does the core team have an eye on active debates going on?
We've been closely monitoring all feedback from the community and have core team members actively engaging with everyone on Discord. Mark will also be joining Discord and/or Twitter soon to interact with everyone.
What seems to be the strategy in place to grow the community and bring more investors and developers on board? Will you provide grants for developers?
We have recently hired a new marketing lead, who is now working closely with Mark on the acquisitions and retention strategies. We won’t go into more details regarding the strategy, this is an internal process. Yet we want to stress out that we acknowledge the importance of having a strong and active community around SatoshiVM and we want to see it flourishing!
Where does the new marketing person come from? Any prior experience in L2 chains? What can we read about the person and the CEO?
The new marketing team is already onboarded and they are working very closely with the CEO and other core team members. They have a massive experience in Crypto, specifically in marketing/growth and we expect a lot from them. For the time being, members of the marketing team will remain pseudonymous like the core team - in the spirit and tradition of early Crypto builders.
The new marketing strategy we are working on right now includes active Twitter posting indeed and we hope you have already seen some positive changes there.
Do you have a response to the recent accusation made by @ercwl, claiming that SatoshiVM, Merlin, and others BTC L2s are scams on X, which has gained attention of many users?
Our development is divided into several stages. In the Alpha Mainnet phase, we will utilize Bool Network's decentralized cross-chain bridge and asset management solution to ensure that even if there are security issues within Layer 2, users' assets on the Bitcoin side will remain secure. Additionally, we are concurrently developing an improved ZK-Rollup solution based on the yellow paper and BitVM enhancements.
In terms of “SCAMS“, we believe that ensuring the security of the Alpha Mainnet and Mainnet is crucial as a Bitcoin Layer 2. For users, the most critical aspect is ensuring the safety of their assets, which reflects a solution inheriting Bitcoin's security. Therefore, we have not opted for multi-signature schemes or centralized asset custody solutions like MPC.
This was the first part of the AMA. The Part II will be published in the following days. Thank you for reading and we would appreciate if you subscribe to our blog here!
