Never Drink Alone is the inaugural competition of the MUA Design Awards held by MUA DAO.
We defined it as an interactive architecture competition, and around this theme, we designed the competition mechanism and content in a different manner than any mainstream architecture competitions.
It is a challenge to the traditional virtual architecture competitions, which are full of parametric design works only to show exceptional skills, and it is also the beginning of a group of creators who aspire to achieve breakthroughs and excellence building a more ideal world in their minds.
A virtual space that is real, interactive, thoughtful, and immersive to users.
These are seemingly simple words, but to achieve all, it requires a combination of strong skills. Creators must have the ability to think deeply about the theme of the competition, excellent skills of spatial design, an understanding of 3D modeling for online games, and the programming skills to handle interactive codes.
We were fully prepared to meet the contestants:
Show cases and detailed technical analysis for each section of the competition;
Weekly technical seminars and Q&A sessions;
7/24 online technical support for 3D modeling and interactive coding;
Several teaching articles;
And a decentralized fair scoring mechanism specially designed and developed for this competition.
During the two-month competition, the number of MUA Initiator Badge holders increased to 636, and we received more than 96 full entries that met the requirements for each section.
At the beginning of the competition, we made various assumptions about the entries, but the final result still exceeded our imagination.
Hades, Medusa, and even Du Liniang are all transformed into magical bartenders. Everything that can't be attained in real life is presented to us in an amazing way.
We are very proud of the fact that the vast majority of entries can be deployed directly in established metaverse platforms. This fulfills the original purpose of the competition—to attract, guide, and bring together creators who can provide useful content to the metaverse.

「The name BYOB stands for “Bring Your Own Bottle”. The prototype of "hand” is gradually transformed into a Revolving Stage which allows audiences to view the performance from all different angles.」

「The Bartender Digital Medusa which is inspired by Greek Myths. Instead of the snakes, Digital Medusa has multiple pipes in which liquor flows. It brings a touch of mystery to the Bar.」
