MUA x PlayerOne AMA:mArchitect builds in Playerone

MUA DAO hosted an AMA with PlayerOne on August 27th at the official MUA DAO discord (https://discord.gg/mua-dao). We touched upon topics from market conditions to latest updates of PlayerOne and our collaboration. JJiang, product directive of PlayerOne, joined us and answered questions raised in the MUA community.

The Following is the Content of AMA

Marsko:
 (Host ,MUA MASTER)

So happy to have everyone here for our AMA event tonight. My name is Marsko and I’m from MUA DAO. This is guest, JJiang, from PlayerOne. Hello, JJiang!

JJiang: Hello everyone. Seems a good turnout.

Marsko:
So please allow me to introduce myself and MUA DAO a little bit. My name is Marsko. I am from MUA DAO. I am a contributor and master badge holder in MUA DAO. MUA DAO is called the metaverse union of architects. We are a decentralized, autonomous organization which is DAO as everybody knows. Our mission is to help millions of professionals around the world break the shackles to overcome the high threshold of crypto world and create the largest virtual reality guide of architects. We're going to provide a large number of excellent builders for the metaverse.
Here is your turn. Jiang, please introduce yourself a little bit and PlayerOne. Thanks. Okay.

JJiang:
Thanks for having me here and I’m JJiang and product directive of PlayerOne. I'm glad to be here to have an AMA with MUA and you all about PlayerOne. And also I'm going to take the opportunity to release our Creator Certification Program. I'm looking forward to it. PlayerOne is a multi-chain metaverse sandbox game platform with creation tools, social scenes, NFT marketplace and P2E games. It's really designed to make it possible for everyone to create a metaverse.

We are very lucky to have investment from SIG which is the biggest shareholder of TikTok, and 9 operators of War of Craft in China. We have also obtained funding from a bunch of well-known institutions such as FBG, Waterdrip, etc. That really showed our extensive institutional resource and our connections.

I also want to talk about a bit about our development teams, because they were very strong. We all come from a game engine, public chain, crypto exchanges, and public listed companies. So our team have years of experience in the blockchain area and 3D gaming.

As we know, a truly 3D metaverse platform requires a very high level of development skills. So we instead of talking much about GameFi or NFT under the name of metaverse, we will really talk about the 3D metaverse platform. It's generally hard power.

So I think I will stop a bit here and talk more in the AMA session. Marsko:
Thanks, JJiang. Awesome. I think PlayerOne is a professional team. And you guys are doing professional works. I think to some of us, we already know PlayerOne, but to some of us, maybe PlayerOne is still new to us.

I know this is a metaverse platform, but we want to know a lot more details. So we would love to know more, and we actually have some questions to you. Here, we're going to start our next section.

And I'm going to ask some questions from our community. The first question, I think it is the land NFT in metaverse is indeed the most important assets and important basis for the development of the project. What are the characteristics of PlayerOne's genesis land? JJiang:
Firstly, PlayerOne consists of various islands. It is based on a various part of island and genesis land in the first phase.

So it includes a central area and six divisions. And the land in PlayerOne is designed with different geometrical features, such as the mountain, river, lake, ocean, and beach. And PlayerOne allowed owners of the land to expand outside of their own area as long as not disturbing other landowners.

And also, in other addition to that, PlayerOne has introduced a concept of growable metaverse where the maximum height of the space will grow. When the metaverse become more prosperous or busy, or like more people to visit. So in this way it allows more content to be created in the space. And another feature I would really want to talk about and we are very proud of is a settling function which we take inspiration from the Moonbird nesting.

Now because PlayerOne introduced a settle which allowed user to gain rewards and unlock additional benefits by simply keeping the land for a certain amount of time. And the settle function is a bit like staking. But the the difference is it can be done in your own wallet without transferring out. Taking part of a settle, you can receive jobs, including building, game characters, aircraft and other game properties. There are a lot of special features and improvements taking place in PlayerOne. So I would really encourage all you guys to try and join us.

Marsko:
I remember last time I went to the PlayerOne platform, I remember your map. The land is pretty big, it's really big. And it has like, I remember, like five or six different parts.

JJiang: So we just launched our first phase, and we have very good results and responses and it sells very well.

Marsko: I remember people also use a lot of like funny pictures as their land flag or something? I think that word is pretty awesome.

JJiang:
The community is quite active and they take the land as a kind of ads or their showroom, their own entities and get their own products show off their own creativity. I think that's really what we wanted to try to boost.

Marsko:
So thanks for the answer. The next question is, does PlayerOne have any innovative gameplay to look forward to.

JJiang:
PlayerOne team really has quite excellent skills and experience in game engine development. So we take that kind of experience into our player game metaverse. So we try to make the PlayerOne metaverse as flexible as possible.

So we introduced that modular design. We allowed players to build and publish their own P2E game and their own game with economics by combining the module. So we provide all by the other certified PlayerOne creators.

So we develop a number of highly playable and module in the metaverse, such as one similar to Pokemon game, where user can capture pets from all kind of the continents and breed them in in their own PvP or PvE game to earn tokens. PlayerOne has also introduced and pioneered the idea what we call O2E, which stands for “operation to earn”, which award users with tokens based on the degree of possibility of needs on their spaces.

So if you have a rare character or role in PlayerOne, you are more likely to get rarer and more pets. If your land is very popular, having lots of visitors and you manage to have very good events, attract people, then there will be rarer and more pets appearing in your space. The more pets will attract all the more visitors to your space. Therefore, they are generating a virtual circle. So there are many other games such as treasure hunts, squid gangs. But I'm not going to elaborate all over here. Instead I would invite you guys to try it.

Marsko: This is called O2E, operation to earn.

JJiang: The problems for many other metaverse platforms is once their land have already been sold, then the people found the difficulty to build or to operate. So that becomes what we call debt metaverse, right? So trying to encourage the people to keep incentives to them, to encourage them to really build things and attract more people, then they will get a reward during the process. And the whole metaverse will become more beneficial by this kind of process, and the cooperation too.

Marsko:
So like being as a single player, we can actually build our own land as a landowner. Like, for example, I create different events or adding more values, like different tokens, as you just mentioned, like pets, and make them rare and actually we'll have more chance to earn, right?

JJiang: Yes, definitely.

Marsko:
Next question would be, I heard that PlayerOne has a creator certification program. You just mentioned that. So would you please just introduce this a little bit?

JJiang:
For one hand, our mission is to make everyone have the ability to build their metaverse. We work really hard to make the creation process as easily as possible. And we release building tools, such a RoleEditor, SpaceEditor, BookstoreEditor, which allows the creators, especially professional creators, to create the assets, to create buildings with no hassle.

But still building and running a good space is a challenge for your taste and the time you have to really consume on the process. So we try to reduce the kind of difficulties. We integrate a third party NFT such as Widi into our projects. So allowing your assets to be used freely in the metaverse, you don't have to really to create your own characters.

If you have the ability to make your own NFTs, we can use this to import your asset into it. And we also introduce architecture, blueprint function at which I think many people here will be interested in, which allowed users with one click to build a space by applying architecture blueprint without any 3D skills and hassle. So the creative atmosphere in the early stage of a community is very essential.

So we launched a creator certification program to certified outstanding metaverse creators. They can use our blueprint publishing function to publish and sell their blueprint NFTs to create certified several rights, so they will get a priority to release. There are blueprint NFTs and trade in the market.

They can publish their blueprint NFTs and receive additional incentives in additional to sales revenue. So there will also be a special creator badge on the certified creators’ personal information page and certified creator will also get a priority to participate in our platform activities and receive more benefits. Meanwhile, we will launch the creator fund in the future to support and promote PlayerOne creators and bring priorities and special incentives to them.

Marsko:
Great. Thanks. I think you just mentioned PlayerOne already has different like building tools, RoleEditors, SpaceEditor and BookstoreEditors, right? So what are the differences between these three things? I guess they're just like, maybe I'm going to use SpaceEditor to build up different like buildings and RoleEditors as players.

JJiang:
BookstoreEditor is for building kind of properties like aircraft and game of the tour that you can sell in the market.

Marsko:
 Like different items, right?

JJiang: Yeah, and they all come up at end as NFTs to sell on the markets, which can be freely distributed in the platform.

Marsko:
So for example, if I have no idea how to create or to do anything in 3D models. I don't have any 3D modeling experience. I can still use these editors.

JJiang: Yeah, sure. For example, I think here there are many architects here. So if you have kind of NFTs to build your own metaverse architecture that you can mint it as a blueprint NFT. Then if other people really like your building and want to have the building to build in their space, they can simply buy it, then you get the pay.

Marsko:
So it sounds like I am already a landowner, and I can also use these three different editors to create my own world. I can host different events to publish my own items as NFTs. This is like you just mentioned, like operation to earn, right?

JJiang:
 Yes.

Marsko:
I think this is a pretty good certification program. It is very essential to the early face for this PlayerOne platform. As everybody knows, we are MUA DAO. We also have like a badge system as well. We have different levels of MUA DAO badge, and only verified and eligible metaverse architects can mint junior or higher level badges. Actually, you can check out the Discover page on our website.

There's a lot of like brilliant works from our higher level badge holders. Junior badge holders and, higher level badge holders can upload their works only on this page.
Here please allow me to like share my personal experience from the very beginning. Right now I'm a master badge holder like from the very beginning, I think I'm like the Initiator or something like that. I remember I joined a competition in MUA DAO, called Never Drink Along. And I uploaded a work in Decentraland. It is called Cybervers Nightclub.

And also after that, I think I I joined another program in the MUA DAO community. We work together to translate some metaverse documentations into Chinese version. And also, sometimes I just, if I have time, I will share some tutorials like how to do 3D modeling in Dcentraland. Right now we have this event also called Mask On. We are about to design different masks and we're going to transfer this mask into like a different NFT in Decentraland.

My question would be, is it possible that or junior badge holders or higher level badge holders can like directly get certified in PlayerOne's creator certification program.

JJiang:
I actually have checked your website and go through all the Discovery page. I was amazed by the creativity and innovation idea of from all these architects, because the architects have lot of construction constraints in the physical space.
When they migrate to the metaverse, they really released their creativity. Then I check the Discover page, I think it’s quite good. We're really welcome all MUA badge holders to join our certification program. We will give a direct channel to all MUA badge holders to let then quickly and directly get certified, start to join our, and enjoy our best support as possible. MUA has its professionalism and reputation on metaverse architecture and a thrive architecture community.
So we really looking forward to working together to help the metaverse architects do more and boost the metaverse ecosystem.

Marsko: Yeah, thanks. It is our honor if we can have more opportunities and chances to create things like you just mentioned. It is a challenge of taste and I really agree with that.
And also we are very welcome more and more people without any architecture background or interior design background to join this community, to join PlayerOne to work together for this project.

JJiang: How amazed if an artist or curator, if they want to make exhibition, they can simply apply or buy or even get from the best museum as possible from the professional architect, right? That's kind of impossible in real life, right? Because we have already cooperate with like what we call Web2 scenario.

We cooperated with some art museums in Shanghai. They made their metaverse exhibition in PlayerOne. We also help some independent artists to make their metaverse version in discoveries in PlayerOne, I think it really can help them to release their creativity in innovative activities.

Marsko:
Yeah, I think this is pretty good idea. Sometimes these art galleries need to transform themselves from the reality into the metaverse. I think maybe PlayerOne is a good window, is a good bridge to do this work?

JJiang:
 Yeah, thanks.

Marsko:
So the final question would be like, can you sum PlayerOne for us in a few words?

JJiang:
PlayerOne is multi-chain metaverse, Sandbox-like game platform with the mission of making everyone be able to build metaverse. We are very lucky to be accepted and backed by well-known institutions and have top development team and strong product metrics.

We work really hard to push the boundaries of metaverse industry and prepare us into the next area of industrialized competition.

Marsko: Thank you, Jiang.
Right now we're going to the final section, which is we're going to pick up some questions from audience. Right now. I'm going to open this request and see if anyone has any questions. Actually in tonight AMA event, we have this prize pool for people who asked questions. We were going to give 10 USDT and some boxes from PlayerOne’s NFT, right?

We have ten mystery boxes from PlayerOne.
Let me see if anyone has any questions.

Jumbo, right? Sorry, it's Joshua. Hi, please feel free to ask any questions.

Joshua:
My question is, what do you think is the best strategy that you can do to bring more users and investors and what makes people confident about the sustainable success and survivorship of your project in the near future?

JJiang:
I think one problem we can see in the metaverse industry is the price going down, and they're kind of in the bear market. And there are less people to get in the metaverse.

I think we all experience this kind of a bear market at the moment.
PlayerOne is still growing up.

I think the good thing for us is we are a startup. We are quite young. The good thing for us is we could use new technology and protocols in our product.

And we also learn from the failure and success of what the other platforms have already experience. So we learn from that. For example, now we have already adapted multi-chain protocols, which allowed the asset to freely convert to the different chain. We also have the the land-rent protocol, which allows people who have a difficulty in the metaverse to build their own space, and they can rent to others. So these are all the advantages that we have really have to keep up with the development of technologies.

Joshua: I'm not sure I am allowed to do follow up question.

Marsko: Sure. Be not afraid to ask questions.

Joshua: I have another question, which is many projects look great in their white paper or road map, but experience a lot of difficulties when trying to implement the project mission and make it appealing.

So my question is how you will overcome every obstacle and foster project development?

And do you think your team is ready and have the experience to cope with different instances that you will be facing and then realize the big picture?

JJiang:
I think I introduce quite early at the beginning about our teams. Our team really come from the very strong blockchain experience, and some of them even come from the public chain, gaming platform and the currency exchange company like a public listed company.

So we have very strong expertise and skills to do it again. So gaming itself for us is not a problem. We really look forward about the development of the metaverse, especially when we experience this kind of pandemic.

People have already accepted a way to communicate, to show things in the metaverse. I think if we look back like 20 years ago, people cannot really believe that the digital asset could be an asset and it can really be sold freely on the internet.

But now, when we look at NFTs, things have already changed. We can very easily to notice like a CryptoPunk and a BAYC, so I think this transition has already propelled the future of the development. So we are the team can really push the boundary and catch up there.

Joshua: Thank you, sir. I think that's all from me. Thank you for answering my questions.

Marsko: So we're going to pick up our next person. Hello!

Yuliyana: I’m one of your badge holders. So you talk about if more people come our land, we will get more rewards. And also, if our role or folk sale is a rare one, so I own a normal pet, not a rare or super rare combination.

And you confirm that the rarer of our role, the higher value and rarer pets it will give us. Now my question is if we can upgrade our role. So like, if I join any competition and then I get some mystery boxes and I won the rare pets. Can I upgrade my role?

JJiang: You can actually buy the rare pets in the secondary market. You can also sell your rare pets to other people once they want to improve for upgrade their role.

Yuliyana: So regarding the pets, can you tell us the pets’ utilities for a holder? Like once I bought a rare or normal pets, what benefits they usually bring to us holders?

JJiang: What we promise is that the rarer the pet you have, the more tokens you can get.

Yuliyana: Thanks for sharing the info that we can buy pets in the market. Can we upgrade our current/minted voxel with rare parts in the future? Once we build a blueprint and try to sell it, will that be just one time sell or we can resell multiple times which means we are selling a template?

JJiang: Blueprint will take ERC-1155 standard NFT which supported multi-version of it. Architectural designers merely need to develop structures in SpaceEditor, then publish them to the market as blueprints with a single click. As a result, people may pay one in total of the price and then create their own structures with a single click.

Rey Anthony: Hack in not new in crypto space, So my question is how is the security system of your project and is there any insurance fund to compensate users in case this project ever get hacked or exploited?

**JJiang:**PlayerOne does not do any asset custody, so there is no risk of hacking like some DEFI or cross-chain bridge projects. Therefore, players don not need to worry about the loss of assets here in PlayerOne.

Toscojosh: The metaverse is only accessible on a website... Is there any plan to release the app on playstore or apple store or for Windows?

JJiang: Then answer is yes. The whole PlayerOne product matrix may be accessed immediately through the web page, and the direct link through the wallet not only provides user convenience, but also protects the user's assets from risk.

Users may access all PlayerOne products regardless of whether they are running Windows, Mac, or Linux. Furthermore, we are also developing the architecture, PlayerOne permits publishing as a client-side version, which is also the planning emphasis of PlayerOne Hub.

Finally, PlayerOne is cross-platform compatible and may be utilized by clients from many systems.

Edoyak: Can you list some features this project have that makes it ahead of its competitors? What competitive advantage does your project have that you feel most Confident About?

JJiang:

1. multi-chain supported metaverse gaming platform with the protocol to let every build metaverse.

2. endorsements from well-known institutions

3. top technical teams with years of experience in the blockchain sector, in addition to gaming engine and developer community knowledge.

4. robust product matrix, RoleEditor, SpaceEditor, VoxelEditor

5. Tech Innovation, such as Token Buy-back & Burn, Token Buy-back & Burn, Cross-platform Solution

The above is all about this AMA, MUA DAO aiming to bring architects in the real world to the Web3 space, we always welcome more excellent designers into our community.
