If you’re a first time user of Upshot Analytics Beta, we wanted to point out a few ways to get maximum value from the tools and hopefully enhance your experience getting to know the product. There are four major areas of focus in this quick intro: charts, finding deals, trait level analysis search/discovery, and collector pages.
Charts
The first thing you will see on the Analytics homepage is a collections chart that allows you to select and compare up to 5 collections at once across weekly volume, floor price and average price. To change the selections simply click on the collection names in the table below the chart or use the (x) next to collection labels on the chart.
Another key chart to help get perspective on activity within a specific collection is the sales histogram on the top of each collection page.
Every sale reveals more information as you hover on specific dots and you can change the time period using the nav below the chart to see timescales from 1 hour to 1 month.
Another chart that can help contextualize sales and floor data is our individual NFT appraisal history chart. Every NFT we appraise gets reappraised every hour and we chart those data points for your comparison in the pricing history section of the NFT page.
We will continue to improve functionality across charting throughout the app and would love to get feedback from anyone with suggestions about how to better present this data and drive more value.
Finding Deals
One of the most valuable tools we have built into the core of our app is hourly appraisals of more than 270,000 of the top NFTs across more than 240 collections. We are adding more all the time and continue to refine our models every day.
Each NFT’s appraisal is updated hourly and we present the appraisal on each NFT page under the preview image and in the pricing history chart on the right.
If the NFT is currently listed on a marketplace, an over/underpriced indicator will appear on the top of the NFT page (like the example above). You can investigate these appraisal/listing differentials on individual NFT pages or look at entire collections and rank them by this difference on the Collection page in the Explore table at the bottom.
The main Explore table on the Analytics Homepage can also display global listings for NFTs on various marketplaces and compare them to the respective appraisals in real-time as they are listed.
We will continue to dial in more efficient and effective ways to expose under/overpriced listings and would appreciate any feedback from the community about features you would love to see or ways we can make the deal finding process more valuable.
Trait Level Analysis & Search
Another key area of interest in any NFT collector’s journey involves attributes or traits of particular NFTs and recognizing how the rarities and cultural affinities play into the value of individual trait mixes. Every NFT page has individual attributes/traits broken out by their rarities and if you click on any trait you are brought to our powerful search tool that exposes pricing and market information surrounding particular traits and combinations of traits.
Search based on combinations of traits to see all the NFTs that match that criteria within a particular collection or view as list and see which of those NFTs are currently listed for sale.
We are adding new components to make search and NFT discovery even more powerful and (you guessed it) would appreciate any feedback from you about ways to improve and provide more powerful search and discovery tools.
Collector Pages
One of the most interesting parts of collecting NFTs is being able to see all the different collectors’ collections, compare them to each other (and our own), and discovering new NFTs through inspection of others’ wallets. To see your own collection page simply click on your wallet address in the top right.
Throughout the app, anywhere you see a wallet address, you can click the address to inspect that collector’s page. General Info section and Transaction History on NFT pages in addition to rollover on any of the NFTs in the Top Selling NFTs section of the homepage and collection pages are great places to start.
Please help us make Upshot the best analytics platform in the space by giving us any feedback (positive or negative) through the form on the website or pop into Discord and let us know what you think.
This is just the first in a series of new releases that we hope will make Upshot the home for DeFi x NFTs. Along with making it easier than ever for people to explore NFT data and real-time appraisals, we’re also excited to be working with partners to integrate the Upshot API into their apps.
Real-time NFT price-feeds will enable a number of benefits for NFT marketplaces and DeFi protocols, give people insights into what their assets are worth, and unlock a range of exotic new primitives at the intersection of DeFi and NFTs.
Features we are working on implementing very soon:
