progress for the sake of progress transforms the world into a beautiful wasteland without any values: a trophy of human achievement but a tombstone for the human spirit since all that we hold near and dear has been eradicated for the purposes of economic achievement
i believe every culture has built up tremendous reserves of scholarly wisdom re: living a good life - a majority of which is tucked away and inaccessible to most people
