Wanted to run your own blockchain node but felt overwhelmed by the technical complexities? Well, good news! With Mintair, setting up a Shardeum node is now easier than ever. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process, from connecting your wallet to seeing your node in action.

What is Shardeum?

Before we dive in, let's quickly touch on what Shardeum is. It's an EVM-based, linearly scalable network that promises low gas fees while maintaining true decentralization and solid security. By running a node, you're not just participating in the network - you're helping to shape the future of decentralized infrastructure.

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

First things first, head over to mintair.xyz. You'll need to connect your wallet - we support MetaMask and various other popular providers. Once connected, select Shardeum from our list of supported networks.

Step 2: Choose Your Plan

Now it's time to select your preferred plan. We offer various options, starting at just $19.99 per month. You'll need to purchase credits first, but don't worry, our interface makes it simple!

Step 3: Deploy Your Node

With your credits in place, you're ready to deploy. Simply hit that "Run Node" button, and we'll take care of all the technical setup behind the scenes. It's blockchain made easy!

Click on the "key". Make sure to save your password - you'll only see it once!

Step 4: Get Some SHM Tokens

After installation, you'll need some SHM tokens to stake. Head over to Shardeum's Discord server and find the validator-faucet channel. Drop your wallet address there to receive some testnet SHM.

Step 5: Access Your Node Dashboard

Back on Mintair, click "Visit Node" to access your node's dashboard.

Enter the password which you saved and you will enter the maintenance tab.

Step 6: Start Your Node and Stake

Once you reach the Maintenance tab. Connect your wallet. Click "Start Node". Refresh the page, then add your stake (currently 10 SHM) when prompted.

Congratulations. And there you have it! Your node is now set up and will rotate between standby and running status. You're officially part of the Shardeum network, contributing to the decentralized future of the internet.
