The Super Scholar SecretĀ šŸ¤«

Frustrated?

Canā€™t get that scholarship?

Hereā€™s why...

Learn to think like a manager

and you'll get that scholarship much faster...

Plus it will train you to become a manager yourself!

So letā€™s get started:

What do managers care about most?

āŒ Your location?
āŒ Your name?
āŒ Your age?

Noā€¦

Their investmentā€¦

They want the project to be a huge success!

And to join in on this funā€¦

ā€¦you need to act the same šŸ‘Æ

How?

Take Johnā€¦

He created a utility website for a play to earn project

That showed me he caredā€¦ A LOT

So I immediately offered him a scholarshipšŸ‘Øā€šŸŽ“

But you canā€™t make a website you say?

You donā€™t have toā€¦

Simply join the project discord and start showcasing your knowledge

Where to get this knowledge?

Itā€™s easyā€¦

Monitor the discord for a couple daysā€¦

ā€¦and you see the same questions over and over

Note the answersā€¦

And start helping out

Simply redirecting people to the correct channel is an easy oneā€¦

Anyone can do THATā€¦

Now youā€™re showcasing an active presence in the project

ā€¦and managers love this šŸ˜

But how do they know youā€™re looking for a scholarship?

Be creative: add a small note to your username

Just donā€™t turn into a billboard

Nobody likes those šŸ‘Ž

If you want to write an applicationā€¦

ā€¦then each project has a discord channel for that

Post your info in there and go answer questions

Because itā€™s not what you SAYā€¦

ā€¦but what you DO āœ…

Once a good manager sees you helping out, they check your discord history and find your application:

  • keep it light and easy on the eyes
  • use bulleted emojis
  • or codeblocks
  • or graphics
  • etc...

If everyone is doing one thing, then you do the opposite

So when I quickly scroll through the applications, yours jumps out šŸ¤©

Make an effort because a lazy copy/paste is easy to discover!

And use your discord avatar:

I once hired a scholar purely based on her avatar

While everyone had pictures of their dog, her avatar was gaming-related

And I was looking for a gamer, so I hired her šŸ‘©ā€šŸŽ“

Always think -and act- like a managerā€¦

It makes you much stronger vs. a ā€œspam and prayā€ scholar

Such spammer thinks:

ā€œIf I beg all over discord, people will see and hire meā€

But the manager thinks:

ā€œThis troublemaker is incapable of following simple rulesā€

ā€¦and will hire a positive contributor instead

Then once youā€™re hired:

  • align expectations right away e.g. whatā€™s the promotion schedule and availability requirement? If a manager needs you 24/7 then say goodbye šŸ‘‹
  • call your manager by name and not ā€œsirā€, ā€œbossā€, ā€œlordā€ etc. Youā€™re an equal human and not a slave. If the manager doesnā€™t like this then look for a better one
  • found a bug? Report it to the project and copy your manager, instead of simply complaining about it
  • be honestā€¦ experienced managers have seen every excuse 1000x already, including yours
  • always keep up-to-date on the latest project news

Then you earned the golden tip:

Bring new play-to-earn games to your manager

Do this and see what happens šŸ‘

Thatā€™s all I got for you today

Itā€™s only a matter of time now till you start leveling upā€¦

ā€¦from Super Scholar to Mighty Manager

And if you understood todayā€™s lesson

then youā€™re already doing your partā€¦

ā€¦by sharing this message šŸ’Œ

Else you should probably read it againā€¦

Take care,
