Staking and Bonding Audit Report

GTON Staking and Bonding smart contracts have been audited: one identified issue in the staking contract needs to be addressed, which requires a period of maintenance. Please read to find out how it will affect the staking experience in the near future.

Fellow GTONers,

We're happy to announce that the GTON staking and bonding audit report — conducted by Securing — has been recently finished.

The audit focused on GTON smart contract source code (with staking live on Fantom).

The results indicate that our codebase is solid and safe. No risks for the users’ funds have been found. However, an issue with the staking smart contract has been identified that is already being addressed, namely - a transfer of sGTON token to oneself could double the reward payout. The issue was caused by wrongly arranged state update operations in the contract. You can read the full report here.

To fix the issue as soon as possible and provide users with a better staking experience, we announce a maintenance period for the staking smart contract on Fantom starting from 2022-05-03 04:00 PM (UTC). The maintenance shall take about seven days.

Please note:

  • Accrual and harvesting of rewards, staking/unstaking of GTON (conversion of sGTON to GTON) will be suspended for the entire duration of the maintenance period.
  • Upon user request via the #support Discord channel, the withdrawal of funds can be conducted manually with the help of our support team.
  • We will keep you updated with further announcements about the deployment of the fix and the next steps required to continue staking.
