Tutorial: Token Migration

With the successful deployment of the new $888 token, this tutorial shows how holders of the old $888 token can migrate to the new token contract.

Everyone who holds old $888 tokens, or has old $888 staked within the old lottery contract can effortlessly migrate to the new token 1:1.

Old $888 token: 0x8880111018C364912dBe5Ee61D98942647680888

New $888 token: 0x35722BC146938c8B0d39f3e192da3DCCfD8a2e57

Follow the steps to migrate your tokens

1 - Visit the Token Migration page, and connect your wallet

Go to lucky8.money/#/migration and connect the desired wallet that either holds old $888, or deposited old $888 into the previous lottery contract.

2 - Choose the right action

After successfully connecting your correct wallet, you will see the according balances appearing in the UNSTAKE- and/or the MIGRATE box.

Stakers: If you currently have $888 staked in the old lottery contract, you'll see that amount displayed. To migrate your tokens, you must unstake them. Clicking the UNSTAKE button will withdraw your old $888 tokens from the old lottery contract, and transfer them to your wallet.

Holders: If you have old $888 in your wallet, the corresponding amount will be displayed in the MIGRATE box. Click on MIGRATE and grant token approval. After completing the approval, you can initiate the migration process. Once the migration transaction is complete, you will find the same amount of new $888 tokens in your wallet as the number of old $888 tokens you submitted.

Whenever tokens are migrated, the old $888 amount submitted will be burned in return for the new token received.

3 - Finished!

After you completed the steps above, you are all set and ready to participate in Lucky8 lotteries! Now, make sure to bond your $888, and mint your first lottery tickets starting on for our first epoch!
