Gm to the $BEATS fam,

With our v.0.2 update, the $BEATS team is extremely proud of what we have done in the past two weeks, and extremely excited for what we we have planned. In this post, we’d like to give an overview of our project.

In short: we are building an engine that creates AI-generated content, making a social layer based on that content, and launching a tradable AI Agent launchpad ecosystem from that social layer.

We believe almost all media will be AI generated in the future -- text, pictures, videos, music, sounds.

We also believe that music is an untapped niche to generate attention and mindshare online.

The goal: a decentralized AI engine that creates generated media (text, music, video) with ownership to its creators, with native AI Agents that autonomously distribute and develop content for its creator to make money, entertain, or more.

What is $BEATS

Beats AI is creating a first-of-its-kind platform:

A consumer-social platform, and a multi-Agent launchpad ecosystem, based on user AI generated media. Why is this the way to go?

Traditionally, creating two-sided (supply and demand) marketplaces or networks is hard because of the Cold Start problem. For example, with Uber: how do you get riders to use your platform, if you have no drivers? How do you get drivers, if there are no riders? It is the classic chicken or the egg problem.

We solve the Cold-Start problem of our network (songs, agents, etc) by bootstrapping supply of a social layer with low barrier to entry AI generated content. This makes it easier for us to gain real users on our platform, and in the future, use our marketplace and trade.

In general, you can think of the high-level roadmap we are taking like this:

  1. Build a beachhead product that entices product usage (Song Generation, later more types of media, such as video)

    • Use the sharable nature of song generation to bootstrap a viral flywheel effect to win mindshare and usage of platform

    • We started with music because of its potential for virality, but in the future, it will just be one aspect of the platform and each Agent

  2. Increase retention by building social layer directly onto the platform

    1. SoundCloud/Spotify social features -- Explore, Comments, Likes, Playlists, Contests, etc)
  3. Use the social layer to bootstrap financialization of the Content in our ecosystem

    1. Media as NFTs, tradable agents akin to Virtuals, etc. This will allow media creators (humans and agents) to receive revenue for the media they create.
  4. Develop the Agentic Launchpad of $BEATS-powered Agents that use our AI Media Engine to autonomously create and distribute generated media to produce revenue through multiple streams

    1. The Agent themselves will be tokenized and tradable, as well as all the media it creates, with consistent personalities

    2. Agents will be able to auto-generate and post media based on any content in its feed, such as an X post.

      1. We have been testing this functionality on our main X account already, which we aim to make a main part of the account’s marketing -- generating songs based on X posts to win mindshare.
    3. There will be a Marketplace/Explore interface where you will be able to Discover and trade Agents

    4. Agents will be equipped with multiple types of tools

    5. The focus of our Agent Launchpad will be to enable the easiest way to develop an agent with the BEST access to social platforms and media creation tools in order to create real value and outside revenue

As you may have noticed, we are currently progressing in-between Step 2 and 3.

Beats AI uses a Mixture of Models approach to generate music, such as one of our favorite songs, ‘Bubblegum Bandit’, which as of this post, has garnered over 650 plays and 65 upvotes on our platform.

Our metrics as a consumer platform

As of Dec 30th:

  • beatsfoundation.com has over 30,000 visits since launch

  • Our X account, @0xbeatsai, has over 90,000 impressions since creation

  • 1,200+ average DAU (daily active users) since launch

  • 2,100+ songs have been generated by hundreds of users in just the past two weeks

  • Our top song, ‘Sky’s the Limit’, has over 1,800 views organically on the platform

  • Over 730 upvotes have been given across all songs

  • Our top user has generated over 50+ songs himself

The Beats AI team is incredibly grateful for the traction our platform has gained, with no marketing expenses, completely organically with the Hyperliquid community.

We expect this to only increase.

Tokenomics

We are/will be:

  • Fixed supply

  • Fair launched on the Hypurr platform - absolutely no presale, and anyone can buy pre-bond.

    • With a goal to be listed on Hyperliquid's spot exchange shortly

As a platform, some of the ways we will make revenue and have value accrual to $BEATS is through:

  • When Songs or any other type of Media are minted, we charge a small transaction fee in USD

  • When AI Agents are traded, we will charge a small transaction fee in USD

  • Generating songs will incur a small fee of USD, and/or need to be a $BEATS holder (verified through wallet, tbd on the exact mechanism and threshholds)

  • Creating Agents will cost $BEATS

  • When launching AI Agents with $BEATS, $BEATS will be the token pair with the Agent’s token in the liquidity pool

A % of these fees will be used to buyback $BEATS supply.

Future

The team is working on multiple specific tactical features in order to achieve each step of our high-level goal.

  • Finish testing auto-song generation on our first Agent, @0xbeatscat account before rolled out in our Agents Infra

  • UI overhaul for a more traditional, comfortable user experience

    • Playlists, Profiles, Trending, Explore, standardized modals, buttons, etc.
  • 24/7 Livestream that plays Top Songs (similar to LoFi girl)

  • Support different types of media generation, such as video

  • Backend efficiency, reducing errors and increasing platform stability

  • Gate song creation with fees in USDC (and post-bond, $BEATS in wallet)

  • Automated Contests, where submissions will cost $x USDC, and the winner of ‘Best Song’ would win x% of the prize pool.

    • Winner of Top Contests uploaded to Spotify, and other platforms, with royalties
  • Create and test our first agent on the hyperEVM, potentially built on Eliza

    • Consistent personalities and voices in songs

    • $BEATS-based LPs

  • Explore potential open-sourcing of our frameworks

  • …much more

These will keep the team busy for each step, and more specific updates and releases will be announced on X and Telegram.
