It’s the tenth week of the Designer Weekly Spotlight and for this edition we are featuring WYHYGH!
WYHYGH recently set up his very own realm under DIGITALAX Realms, and I must say, it certainly peaked my interest. Random Variable, founded by WYHYGH, is all about PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in a metaverse context. 👀 Fashion technology and self expression in this context, especially enhanced through digital programmability, has absolutely huge potential. Make sure to check out Random Variable and the other cool projects that WYHYGH is undertaking… there is actually an exciting one coming up that I won’t share too much on now, but it takes inspiration from some of the most widely actionable live aid events in history.

My interest in the virtual world starts with the series, West World. Of course, this is not literally a virtual world, but, it is a kind of one layer enabled by virtual /artificial intelligence and technology, ie a faulty robot that turned a relaxed entertainment setting into a mega hunt for people.
Scenes from this film are deeply attached in the subconscious of my being with questions that later we see extend through many reels of sci-fi movies about the nature of the artificial and the virtual — such as: Johnny Mnemonic, Nirvana, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Terminator, AI, Ready Player One, Enders game, Matrix...and approach/position to AI theory and the metaverse singularity point of time.
So, my profession is as a textile/clothing designer and with the arrival of digital creation software optitex and clo3d there is an opportunity to participate in this game which opens many avenues in the world of creating and making your own attitude and perspectives on topics… and of course your own solutions.
I have worked in education (high school and university) and the business sector as a designer/pattern maker (fashion clothing for a domestic brand for export to the EU market). Through further training in the profession, I dealt with the possibility of using intelligent systems in occupational safety and extreme conditions.
My current status is that I am interested in fashion technology expression and laboratory experiments of intelligent systems in a metaverse environment as the initial development of an experiment plan.
