Obscene facts about Sergei Yesenin, which are not written about in textbooks
August 13th, 2022

Sergei Yesenin was a brilliant poet, but a very controversial personality. In school textbooks, it is customary to idealize his image. However, in fact, like any other person, he had his weaknesses and shortcomings.

Complexes and fornication
Sergey Yesenin was ashamed of his "village" origin all his life. This was his main complex. That is why, in order to assert his status, the poet always tried to have a lady from "high society" with him. The writer Anna Izryadnova, the actress Zinaida Reich, the dancer Isadora Duncan – all these women were needed by Yesenin only to give importance to his figure in the eyes of society.

Yesenin didn't really love anyone. This confirms the fact that the poet replaced women with extraordinary regularity, abandoning them even with children and arranging scenes with physical abuse. According to Yesenin himself, about 3 thousand women have been in his bed.

Yesenin often allowed himself indecent acts towards women. So, one day he hired a poetess to warm his bed in exchange for fulfilling a request to "put in" a word for her for employment. To list and describe all such antics, you will have to write a book, not an article.

Drunkenness and police records
There are still folk legends about Yesenin's drunkenness. The "alcoholic" himself has never hidden his addiction to the "green snake" and even devoted poems to this occupation. He drank when he went to his home in his homeland, and in his apartment in the capital, and in pubs and brothels. He was often the initiator of fights, which is why he regularly had police records.

If to burn, so to burn burning - he wrote
In total, 13 criminal cases were initiated against the poet. In addition to fights, the cases also featured unflattering statements about Jews, as well as suspicions of harboring White Guards. However, no case has ever reached the court. The poet was saved by his poetic gift and useful acquaintances.

According to one version, it was alcohol addiction that led Yesenin to suicide. However, of course, there is a high probability that the poet was killed after all.

The "slope" from the army thanks to Rasputin
Yesenin was not particularly interested in politics. Therefore, he did not participate in revolutionary movements. He also did not support the tsarist government. However, he visited the royal family often and had friendly relations with Grigory Raspitin... that is, Rasputin, of course!

It was Grigory Rasputin who put in a good word for Yesenin when he was called to the front during the First World War. Many criticized the poet and accused him of cowardice, contrasting his image with Nikolai Gumilev, who went to fight as a volunteer. When the revolution took place, Yesenin was again "covered up", disowning him not only from friendship with Rasputin, but also from acquaintance with him at all.

It was Sergei Yesenin. On the one hand, a brilliant poet, and on the other – an ordinary person with inherent weaknesses and shortcomings.
