Every age is welcomed to either explore new things or nostalgically find their childhood items. It’s exactly what we expect from the treasure hunt on Rove. It should be astonishing to explore new utilities and dive yourself into the 3D world with other Rovers. So, how do we build the treasure hunt on Rove?

Chest

A chest always looks mysterious (and probably creepy sometimes). This concept has been so familiar to gamers. Its outlook might not be the best fit for your home - just for now - and we’re taking over the idea of having multiple skins based on the items inside.

The chest will have 3 “keyholes” representing for 3 stones needed to open it. You should find it informative enough to open easily with the leaderboard.

The chest should show up in your home when a new item is dropped by scheduling. It means you can proactively update via news on Twitter, Discord, Telegram, and email from Rove Core Team. Or simply take care of your home regularly ;) If you don’t open the chest by the time it appears, you may lose your chance to open it as it will be retrieved for the new item to be released as scheduled.

The number of chests is unpredictable. The fact this is up to you to decide. Don’t get surprised if you receive an item you suggested on channel #🧠 ideas in Discord. We constantly listen to our Rovers as well as surf around with our designer team. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll find some cash :D

Stone

This is the real challenge. Every Rover will have 2 stones at the beginning. Use it wisely. It’s obvious that you have to save 1 for yourself to open your own chest - and 1 for your fellow buddy. The logic mentioned will apply to the first chest only. So what’s the story after using all?

We’ll have missions for Rovers to gain more stones. It’s diverse. But we make sure it’s challenging enough. The number of stones gained depends on how hard the mission is. We do consider letting our users store and trade/gift stones. The possibility is limitless.

Inventory

Most of the items will be stored in Inventory. Whatever items unlocked in your home will belong to you. You have the ownership to:

👉 Drop it anywhere in your home and your friend’s homes

👉 Trade/gift limited item

Community hunters

If you’re comfortable enough to voice connect with humans, then Rove is your playground. Invite your friends to visit your home and together unlock the chests. Have a sip after that, cheer for the new item unlocked, and enjoy the atmosphere in the metaverse.
