We are incredibly excited to announce that Fam has launched our web3 community hub (in public alpha), and with no less amazing a project than Doodles as our first official community.

Web3 Communities: Where we are today

Web3 has done wonders for the evolution of communities around the world.  Products and brands built on web3 have exploded onto the scene and thrived by easily bringing people together in ways that were previously impossible. These newly formed communities can then grow rapidly and organically, seamlessly spanning both physical and digital worlds without needing centralized agents to give them permanence.

As communities become increasingly decentralized -- enabling them to become increasingly permissionless, autonomous, and "phygital" -- they are beginning to face a new set of existential challenges: how do members find one another in these sprawling and dynamic collectives? How do they easily organize, coordinate, and collaborate with one another to share experiences that make community membership meaningful?

Announcing: Fam web3 community hub

We believe that the strongest communities are the ones that do the most together, with a shared sense of purpose and belonging.

Fam's mission is to be your hub for web3 communities -- a gathering place that empowers communities to grow organically in a decentralized way while doing more together by putting the power in the hands of the members themselves.

Fam provides a decentralized destination for you to find fellow community members, see what they're up to, and easily get involved in activities together -- and we’re doing it in web3-native ways.

Fams: Find your people

Fam allows you to easily find your people via the magic of web3. By simply verifying your assets, you can join the global communities -- or "Fams" -- for those assets instantly, like the Doodles Fam.

Even better, you'll (soon) be able to discover the sub-communities that are most relevant to you -- whether they are locally in your region, in your preferred language, around your interests, or even by token attributes you share with others.

Calendar: Do more together

Once you've found your community, you'll be subscribed to a shared Community Calendar (like the Doodles Community Calendar), an aggregated list of all the activities -- whether online or IRL -- happening in the community, from official events to casual meetups, holders-only hangouts to public Twitter Spaces, airdrops to giveaways, gaming sessions, movie nights, and more.

Messages: Stay connected

Hitting "I'm in" not only indicates your participation and saves activities to your personal calendar, it also connects you to other participants in a group chat to help you coordinate and stay in touch afterwards. Messaging is integrated directly into the product experience to help you see the most important and relevant community messages whenever necessary.

Doodles: A premier web3 project and community

Doodles is one of the most exciting, innovative, and community-centric projects ever created, and the team have proven themselves to be visionaries in terms of pushing the boundaries of what the promise of decentralization truly means for brands, products, and, of course, communities.

Having Doodles as our first official community partner represents our commitment to empowering web3 communities to do more together. It is a meaningful first step toward realizing our vision of enabling decentralized communities to self-organize wherever, whenever, and however they want, to enjoy activities that embody the reasons that brought them all together in the first place.

What's Next?

As part of our initial alpha launch, we have activated only a select group of projects with some of the strongest communities in web3, and built only the first stage of our roadmap. There is much more yet to come.
