Desert Animal Meetup

Surprisingly, at the edge of the ocean, we discovered an expansive desert that stretched into infinity. It appeared silent, with only the whisper of the wind and the sand, yet subtle details everywhere still revealed the unmistakable traces of life. Stepping into this desert, who might we encounter next?

Animals living here have different levels of conservation status in the real world, ranging from Least Concern (LC), Conservation Dependent (CC), Near Threatened (NT), Vulnerable (VU), Endangered (EN), Critically Endangered (CR), Extinct in the Wild (EW) and even Extinct (EX). If there is not enough data to make an assessment of a species’ risk of extinction, its conservation status will be Data deficient (DD). The conservation status of an animal will not have any influence on its in-game performance.

In ACE Animals, each animal also has corresponding qualities that affect their numerical attributes in the game. The qualities range from low to high and are: N, R, SR, SSR, SP. Animals with higher qualities will bring more benefits and rewards to their friends!

Charlie

Conservation Status: CRitically Endangered (CR)

Animal Quality: SP

“Wanna play hide and seek? You chase, I’ll hide!”

Charlie the Northern hairy-nosed wombat is no less notorious in the desert than Amity the Corsac fox, although her fame is more mischievous. Her favorite game is hide and seek — even though she’s never the one responsible for catching others. “Wanna play hide and seek? You chase, I’ll hide!”

Charlie and Amity’s introduction was quite dramatic. In an epic game of hide and seek (at least, that’s how she describes it), Charlie was accidentally discovered in a cave by Amity, leading to her immediate capture by Danae the Sandhill dunnart. However, this setback didn’t deter her. Under Amity’s guidance, she embarked on adventures even more thrilling than hide and seek — cave exploration. Since then, the legendary tales of these two mischief-makers in the desert began to unfold.

Danae

Conservation Status: Vulnerable (VU)

Animal Quality: SR

“Curious about my flawless figure secret? Hehe”

Danae the Sandhill dunnart loves to run — even within the confines of a burrow. She firmly believes that even in the safety of a cave, one should never be complacent and must always be aware of potential dangers, maintaining her agility through constant exercise. Danae is eager to encourage her friends to join this great sport, often teasing, “Curious about my flawless figure secret? Hehe.”

Hide and seek is one of Danae’s preferred forms of entertainment — “It gets everyone running!” However, Danae often has some misconceptions about hide and seek. Games she participates in tend to evolve into a chase-and-flee scenario, as her petite size rarely gives her opponents a chance to find optimal hiding spots. “Charlie is just a big goofball!” she proudly declares.

Bella

Conservation Status: Least Concerned (LC)

Animal Quality: SSR

“A lady should never be rushed; elegance takes time.”

Bella the Common ostrich is a very tidy young lady. Despite being in the desert where sand and wind can occasionally cover her elegant black and white feathers, she always finds time to clean herself. “A lady should never be rushed; elegance takes time.”

However, Bella isn’t always that graceful — especially when she’s running. The Common Ostrich family seems to have a natural inclination to run freely in the vast desert, and Bella thoroughly enjoys the sensation of chasing the winds and sands. Of course, she always avoids being seen running with her dress lifted, preferring to hide amidst the intense dust storms.

The only exception Bella is willing to make is for her friend Wanda the Wild Bactrian camel — Wanda’s easygoing nature always allows Bella to drop all pretenses and run freely to her heart’s content.
