How is it already mid-July? As we at RARI Foundation are setting goals for the third quarter of 2023, we are looking back at the last (awesome!) three months and what we achieved.
Here we go:
This initiative to boost participation and fast track DAO contributions became the most widely anticipated and popular in the RARI Foundation community. The proposal to create the Delegate Launchpad program (RRC-9) was unanimously approved and is now in the final stage of collecting applications.
TL;DR We are delegating 30,000 veRARI to 15 eligible candidates for 6 months.
Apply until July 16th, 2023: https://forms.gle/BSxRtYWvHv1pq7w66
To express gratitude and acknowledgement to active RARI Foundation contributors, in April we submitted a proposal for a retroactive governance airdrop (RRC-8). It was approved with enthusiasm, and eligible participants received $RARI airdrop in early May.
This past quarter the community approved a proposal for the second incentives program, aimed at promoting the adoption of community marketplaces. We are happy to announce that we have secured the first partner for the program. Stay tuned for the details!
RARI Foundation is currently in talks with the Arbitrum community to integrate Arbitrum with the Rarible Protocol to enable NFT-based application development on the L2 chain. The proposal was submitted to the Arbitrum community and we received valuable feedback from the delegates, which we are currently working to incorporate.
This integration offers a revenue-generating opportunity for the Arbitrum community through fee collection while also jumpstarting NFT ecosystem development on the Arbitrum network.
This past quarter RARI Foundation took part in two exciting events: Delegation week, organized and hosted online by Tally, and a panel discussion “How community shapes the future of NFTs” organized by our NYC team.
During the delegation week, we teamed up with leading DAOs to discuss new ways how we can increase DAO engagement and incentivize more people to delegate their tokens and become delegates. Listen to this Twitter Space recording for a Delegation week round up.
As for the New York event, check this thread for the discussion highlights.
One of the highlights of Q2 for RARI Foundation was the addition of a new team member. Jana Bertram (Discord: janabe#3066) joined the team in June as the Head of Strategy and quickly became one of the most active and respected voices in the community. Welcome Jana!
We are also excited to welcome 5 new delegates to the RARI Foundation community.
