Ten Emerging Web3 Artists & Forbes Contest Finalists Will be Showcased Through a Cohort of Exclusive Open Edition Drops on RARI Chain, via Rarible
Last month, ForbesWeb3 and Rarible teamed up to announce an art contest aimed at amplifying emerging digital artists. A panel of superstar judges selected ten finalists from over 2600+ entries, with artists Sierra Nawabi (aka Juu Juu Mama), Jonny Hercus, and Varvava Alay taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes home, respectively.
We are thrilled to announce that these ten artists are each minting on RARI Chain for a series of ten exclusive drops on Rarible!
About the ForbesWeb3 Drops
This collaboration thrusts the boundless potential of the web3 art community onto center stage, represented by the talent of these ten finalists. Inspired by the success of the pioneering TEN by RARI drops, the ForbesWeb3 finalists will be launching Open Editions on RARI Chain—the Arbitrum-powered L3 with royalties embedded on the node level. The move to launch on RARI continued support for the artists through royalties, even as their art reaches the secondary market.
Each drop will be an Open Edition for 24 hours, priced at .002 ETH from February 12th to February 23, 2024. The three top finalists will release their work during the final days of the drop, inviting collectors to not only take part in supporting emerging artists but also to back the growth of web3 fueled by enforced royalties.
The ForbesWeb3 finalists were selected by an esteemed panel of judges, including Randi Zuckerberg, CEO and co-founder of HUG; Debbie Soon, Chief Growth Officer and co-founder of HUG; OSF, Co-founder of Canary Labs; Betty, CEO and founder of Deadfellaz; Shannon Snow, COO of World of Women, Bryan Brinkman, Digital Pop Artist; Sara Baumann, Founder of Women and Weapons; and Farokh, President of Rug Radio and Decrypt Media.

“When I set out for an astrophotography expedition on this night it was totally clear, I drove a couple of hours to the location I had in mind only to be met with fog and a bit of a breeze. I quickly packed up and traveled to spot number two, a few bays and hills over and was greeted with clear skies. By then the Milky Way core and Mars were a bit higher than I had anticipated so I proceeded to set up my equatorial tracking mount and photography equipment as fast as possible and started imaging the sky.”
