It’s a beautiful December day. You just got some $RARI rewards and decided to lock it to get 0% seller fees and other exclusive benefits. As a part of the deal, you now have some veRARI (vote-escrow) in your wallet. You can use it to vote on RARI Foundation proposals and have your say in the future of Rarible!
In case you:
Don’t have time and capacity to stay on top of all discussions and drive your vision
Or don’t have enough votes to launch a brand new proposal yourself
Rarible delegates have you covered! You can choose a selected representative who’s vision resonates with you the most, and delegate your tokens for them to make important political decisions on your behalf.
If that’s you, here is how you can do it:
2. Push the Delegate button in the pop up window or in “My locks”
3. Now it’s time to pick your player 😉 Choose your delegate and the amount of votes you want to delegate to them. You can change this at any time and support multiple people by allocating veRARI from different locks to different delegates.
Click on the chat box icon next to the delegate’s address to read their detailed bio (Please note that not all delegates have submitted their information).
Your journey to becoming a delegate starts here: leave your application in the “Call for Delegates” forum thread. You will be asked to share a short bio and skillset, your motivation to become a delegate, commentary on recent proposals along with your wallet or ENS address. Make it detailed and inspiring: the information you provide will be displayed on the website!
RARI Foundation team will get back to you once your application is approved or if we need more information from you. That’s when the real fun starts! Delegates are expected to become protocol politicians of sorts, which includes:
Participating in discussions and talking to the community members in the RARI Foundation forum, Discord and Twitter
Having a defined opinion on important topics and being vocal about what you are advocating for
Participating in every community call (every two weeks)
Not at the moment. After the delegation program reaches maturity, we plan to submit a proposal to compensate top-20 delegates on a monthly basis. Stay tuned!
