As much as we are excited to be building a successful self-governed community that is run completely online and on-chain, we never miss an opportunity to get together in real life. Last Monday we had an opportunity to do this in our New York office.

Dave Krugman: NFTs are a capture mechanism for community capital. They’re also incredibly powerful, maybe the most powerful, connectors for communities.

Angela Jung: Building a new community is like building a new community in space. Picking the right people to be on that ship to space first is imperative.

Alex Salnikov: Initially, the vision for $RARI token was to help bring value to the early contributors and participants in Rarible. That quickly grew into the desire to participate in the building. Decentralization of Ethereum network we were building on inspired the decision to decentralize Rarible protocol and open-source it. To achieve this decentralization, we need the DAO community.

DK: Community is the root of all value, and if I can create a mechanism by which I’m tapping into that community, then I can continually create value.
