First quarter of 2023 was in many ways defining for the RARI Foundation. With an active participation of our community and core contributors, we were able to shape important initiatives, consolidate channels of communication, build and expand delegation program and more.
This article is a recap of key activities and achievements in the RARI Foundation that kept us busy during the first three months of 2023.
In the heart of the Foundation is a robust governance ecosystem that enables anyone to put forward an idea, shape it into a proposal with the help of the community, put it up for voting and have it executed if your initiative is approved.
A big role in this process is played by delegates – trusted community members approved by the RARI Foundation team, who can make governance decisions on your behalf if you don’t have enough tokens to create a new proposal or simply don’t have time to actively promote your vision for the Foundation. You can find more information on the delegation program here.
In Q1, two proposals were approved by the community, and one was rejected. The discussion around these initiatives helped streamline the public discussion and implement certain best practices for all upcoming proposals.

RRC-7: $RARI listing and bid incentives on community marketplaces – Ecosystem fund allocation. Status: pending execution
The proposal for a new incentives program was approved unanimously by the community. Right now we are at the final stages of choosing the right partners for the incentives program.
The main mandate of RARI Foundation is the development and growth of Rarible Protocol. With more active governance and participation from builders, the logical step was to consolidate different channels to ensure that everyone is on the same page and receives up to date information.
As of April, all Rarible Protocol updates can be found under the main RARI Foundation Discord.
In Q1, both the Protocol and the Foundation websites received a comprehensive design upgrade. You can already see the first iteration of the rarible.org website here:
Extensive work has also been happening behind the scenes on rari.foundation website. The main components of the Foundation DAO – community chat, treasury, community calls stage and more – are being visually reimagined as different parts and buildings of the city. Where you, a community member, are a citizen who makes the decisions.
We are very excited about this initiative and look forward to presenting and expanding on it more in Q2.
Last but not least, each new community member, delegate, collaborator and founder who joined the Foundation in Q1, we see as our biggest achievement. We work towards building a decentralized future of web and believe that anyone who interacts with products and experiences built on Rarible Protocol should have a say in where this ecosystem is headed in the future.
We have a lot in store for Q2 – join RARI Foundation Discord and Twitter to stay tuned!
