This week, we had the opportunity to learn about Hive, thanks to one of the pioneers on this platform, Audi Garcia.

Hive is a blockchain, cryptocurrency, open-source software project, and social network created as a result of a coordinated split from the Steem platform on March 20, 2020.

Its purpose is to serve as a decentralized social network whose content is immutable and accessible anytime, anywhere in the world. Additionally, it aims to be compatible with the creation of DApps (decentralized applications) and various tools that enhance the appeal and utility of the network.

Hive stands out from other Web 3.0 platforms due to its user-friendly interface, resembling the dynamics of social networks like Instagram or Facebook that we have been interacting with for years. Above all, it distinguishes itself through the multiple incentives it provides within its network.
