Women Biz is a community of women passionate about blockchain technology. We believe that this technology has the potential to transform the world, and we want to help women be a part of that transformation.
As part of our commitment to empowering women in Web3, we organize monthly events to educate women about this technology. These events are free and open to all women interested in learning more about Web3.
How we onboard women from scratch
Our onboarding events are designed for women who have no prior knowledge of blockchain. We start with an introduction to the basics of blockchain, and then we move on to more advanced topics, such as smart contracts, NFTs, and DeFi.
We use a variety of teaching methods to ensure that women learn in a way that is most effective for them. We offer presentations, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities.
Our monthly events
Each month, we host an onboarding event in a different city in Peru. Our events typically last a full day and are packed with educational content and networking opportunities.
At our last event, which was held in Lima on April 29, we featured five speakers who are experts in the areas of literature, blockchain, and technology. The speakers shared their knowledge and perspectives on the potential of blockchain to revolutionize the way we read and write.
The speakers at Bookchain
The speakers at our Bookchain event were:
Alain Godefroy, an investor, founder of De 0 a Crypto, and web3 content creator, spoke about the potential of blockchain to create new ways to interact with literature.
Marlon Godefroy, a journalist and sportscaster, presented a case study on the use of blockchain to create a new type of literary journalism.
Erika Hernández, CEO of Mentha Comunicaciones, spoke about the impact of technology on the publishing industry.
Valeria Rossi, a Peruvian literature ambassador, shared her vision for the future of reading in the Web3 era.
Eduardo Chocano, founder of El Café de cada mañana NFT, presented an NFT literature project.
