We are delighted to announce the expansion of the Xyxyx Launchpad into Ethereum’s Layer-2s, following the successful passing of XIP-2.
XIP-2 proposed the deployment of the Xyxyx Launchpad on Ethereum’s L2s, including Optimism, Base, and Arbitrum. This strategic move aims to enhance the user experience by offering faster, more cost-effective, and highly scalable solutions for everyday, high-frequency deployments and transactions on the Xyxyx Launchpad.
Deploying the Xyxyx Launchpad on L2s addresses the high gas costs and operational expenses associated with Ethereum Mainnet. Layer-2 solutions process transactions off the main chain, significantly reducing gas fees and increasing transaction speeds. For example, unlike L1, transactions on L2s are confirmed instantly.
Layer-2s make it more economical to deploy and operate smart contracts with extensive metadata. For example, a deployment that costs $80 on the Mainnet, can cost $0.80 when deployed on an L2.
Furthermore, the increased transaction throughput and ability to handle high volumes without network congestion are critical for the frequent interactions and large metadata storage that the Xyxyx Launchpad may require in its multiple use cases.
Today, we are excited to announce the launch of the Xyxyx Launchpad on Optimism, the first of the three Layer-2 networks outlined in XIP-2’s deployment plan. This marks the beginning of a new era for Xyxyx Launchpad, enabling enhanced scalability and usability.
As we continue to roll out the Xyxyx Launchpad on Base and Arbitrum in the coming weeks, we remain committed to our vision of building a state-of-the-art tokenization infrastructure on Ethereum. We believe that deploying the Xyxyx Launchpad on Layer-2s will significantly enhance the utility and accessibility of the platform, fostering greater adoption.
