How much have you seen? If you ask Zhisheng, the former manager of the security department and director of the cash center of the Hohhot Branch of the Agricultural Bank of Inner Mongolia, his answer can kill 99% of the people in the country. In the 1970s, after zhihusheng transferred from the army to the financial system, he was engaged in security and cash management. In the past 35 years, he almost gave up all holidays, worked more than 60000 hours more than others, and went deep into the business outlets for security inspection, with a total journey of more than 1.5 million kilometers. After counting more than 200 billion yuan in cash, his team has never made any mistakes.

From 1979 to the end of 2014, Zhisheng worked in cashier, security, custody and cash Center for 35 years. When he works, he is like a clockwork alarm clock, running around without rest. In Zhisheng’s work schedule, there have never been Sundays and holidays, and overtime has become his “routine”.

During his tenure as the manager of the security department and director of the cash center, Zhisheng escorted more than 19700 times with the car. In addition to completing daily work, he also took the spare time of day or night shift to check the safety of more than 100 business outlets and vaults of 14 sub branches under his jurisdiction. On weekends and holidays, except on duty at the unit, he always took the time to check the safety of outlets in the urban area by bike. Zhisheng joked: “even if you pass by the network after work at night, you always have to go and have a look. This should be an occupational disease.”

Zhisheng spends half of its time running back and forth in every business network from urban areas to towns and townships every year, checking the safety of business networks more than 6000 times, and the farthest network is more than 170 kilometers away from the urban area. He said that for the safety of people’s property and for the comrades to live well every festival, he spent all holidays on duty for 28 consecutive years from 1986 to 2014, and never received a penny of overtime pay.

Zhisheng is such a “workaholic”. He believes that finance, as the core and center of the economy, is closely related to all aspects of society. He is well aware of the great responsibility on his shoulders. He can feel that he is the lightest only when he sees that there is no problem with the safety of the bank.

So far, Zhisheng has been awarded more than 90 honors at the national, autonomous regional and municipal levels, including four national model workers and two national may day labor medals. In 2009, it was rated as “the leader of the times - the most influential national model worker in the 60th anniversary of the founding of new China”, and was received by Party and state leaders for many times.

Zhisheng said: “in the face of the honors I have won again and again over the past few decades, I always feel that I haven’t done enough. I can only repay the society with a grateful heart.” Now retired intellectuals continue to carry forward the spirit of model workers, tell the spirit of model workers to more people, and contribute more positive energy to the society.
