Previously, the high-profile 3D strategy card battle game "Midgard Saga" released its own white paper.

In the industry of traditional games, we rarely see a game that releases a white paper, and Midgard Saga's move has undoubtedly added a layer of mystery to itself.

Next, let's delve into the Midgard Saga and see what is written in their white paper.

Midgard Saga's white paper consists of two parts: a rich display of game content and a description of the featured NFT system.

In the white paper, we can see that the game mechanics are detailed and complete: including a rich selection of heroes, factions, classifications, a main story campaign with up to 27 chapters, and game modes of The Abyssal Dungeon, Arena, etc., which are all in detailed descriptions.

We will focus on another important part disclosed in the Midgard Saga white paper: the featured NFT system.

And this system is also the embodiment of the core idea of Play and Earn introduced by Midgard Saga.

The Unique Element of NFTs

NFT, or Non-Fungible Token, is a representation of non-homogenization in the current hot topic of "blockchain".

In Midgard Saga, there is a unique card called the Void Card. This type of card is endowed with the function of an NFT.

With these Void Cards, players can not only have a wonderful game experience, but can also get profitable returns from trading them.

There are three types of Void Cards, Void Heroes, Void Gears, and Void Hero Shards.

The total supply of Void Heroes is 3600, distributed evenly into 3 categories: Zing, Cyn, Isylia. 

When Void Heroes are bound to heroes in the game, attributes and combat power will be buffed up greatly.

Void Heroes are capable of being Merged. Sacrificing the existing Void Hero NFTs will produce Void Hero NFTs of higher quality.

It’s worth noticing that Void Heroes will not be dropped in the game.

Another type of Void Cards is the Void Gears. There are four slots of the Void Gears: Helmets, Weapons, Armors, and Boots. The supply amount of each Void Gear is 1800. The total supply is 5400, distributed evenly to three categories of heroes.

Void Gears can not be upgraded, but can evolve with Void Heroes, bringing huge buffs in attributes. Just like Void Heroes, Void Gears will not be dropped in the game.

The third type of Void Cards is the Void Hero Shards. The total supply of Void Hero Shards is 2997. Shards can be synthesized into a complete Void Hero. Each Void Hero is composed of three Shards, with a total supply of 999 heroes. 

Unlike the other two types, Void Hero Shards can be acquired in-game. And they are the simplest way for players to acquire Void Cards.

How is Play and Earn Possible?

We will talk about the unique deflationary mechanism of Midgard Saga.

We all know that what’s rare is what’s the most expensive. The fewer a thing is in the market, the more expensive it tends to become. This also applies to Void Cards.

In Midgard Saga, Void Hero Shard NFTs can be collected and synthesized into complete Void Hero NFTs; and Void Hero NFTs can also be synthesized or burned to generate higher-quality NFTs. Coupled with the powerful attributes brought by the Void Hero NFT itself, in this way, the Void Hero Shards will constantly be consumed, and the circulating Shards will become more and more valuable.

In addition, Midgard Saga has designed an NFT trading marketplace for players. After each battle, players can choose to directly sell Shard NFTs with rising prices, or collect other Shards to synthesize a complete Void Hero NFT and then sell them.

This deflationary system will become the implementation of the Play and Earn mode.

It is worth noting that the income from the player's sales can be exchanged for cash. That said, it's not impossible for players to earn extra income by playing Midgard Saga, and even feed their financing status.

In August of this year, Midgard Saga will be launched. At that time, the introduction of Void Cards will be more detailed. Although at present, we do not know whether we can get the expected returns through Void Cards. But even if our costs cannot be fully covered, it is still worth participating in Midgard Saga because it allows us to earn back some of our investments and add extra value to our game accounts.
