Following last week's announcement of the StaFi Hub migration, we want to provide you with comprehensive details about this significant transition and what it means for token holders and validators.
We are pleased to confirm that $rATOM will be migrating to Neutron. This decision comes in light of Cosmos Hub's current permission-based CosmWasm implementation. As part of our strategic approach, all rTokens within the Cosmos ecosystem will be deployed on Neutron. This consolidation will bring improved efficiency to our ecosystem, as users will no longer need to perform cross-chain operations for DeFi activities.
2014/11/13: Remove front-end rATOM unstake feature and release the new StaFi Hub node version.
2024/11/18: StaFi Hub upgrade complete.
2024/11/19: Disable front-end stake feature, deploy rATOM Neutron contract, and activate related services (IBC relay, ICQ relay, rATOM relay, bridge service) to complete migration
2024/11/20: Enable all rATOM Neutron functions on the front end
To ensure a smooth transition, please follow these steps:
Bridge your $rATOM back to StaFi Hub using Kelp
Bridge your $rATOM on StaFi Hub through app.stafi.io to Neutron
For Osmosis liquidity providers:
First withdraw your liquidity positions
Then proceed with the migration steps above
To participate in DeFi activities on Neutron, you'll need to get $Neutron tokens for gas feesOnce set up, you'll be able to seamlessly engage with DeFi protocols using your migrated rATOM.
The liquidity pool information will be announced later, please stay tuned!
We're currently working through some technical considerations for $rSWTH, $rHUAHUA and $rIRIS. Due to the lack of ICA (Inter-Chain Accounts) support on their target chains, direct migration isn't immediately possible. We are actively engaging with these chains' teams to coordinate necessary upgrades and migration. We will provide detailed updates as these discussions progress.
The StaFi Hub node will undergo several significant changes:
A coordinated upgrade to support the migration process
Validator coordination for the upgrade implementation
Planned discontinuation of StaFi Hub post-migration
Scheduled validator network exit
We strongly encourage all users to:
Stay connected with our official community channels
Watch for detailed migration announcements
Prepare for the transition by reviewing your current positions
Act promptly when migration windows are announced
We understand that this migration represents a significant change for our community. Rest assured that our team is working diligently to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining the security and accessibility of your assets.
We appreciate your continued support and patience during this upgrade process. Should you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to our community managers through our official channels.
Neutron is a blockchain network that brings Smart Contracts into the Cosmos-family blockchains using CosmWasm. Neutron works with networks using the IBC protocol. Neutron security (block validation) is provided by the Cosmos Hub network using Interchain Security.
StaFi is a leading Liquid Staking infrastructure provider and protocol for PoS chains. Its Liquid Staking as a Service (LSaaS) framework enables developers to create Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) and Liquid Re-staking Tokens (LRTs) across ecosystems like ETH, EVM, BTC, CosmWasm, and SOL. By issuing rTokens (e.g., rETH, rMATIC, rBNB), StaFi unlocks the liquidity of staked assets, allowing users to earn staking rewards while retaining the flexibility to engage in DeFi. With support for major blockchains such as Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, BNB Chain, and Cosmos, StaFi bridges liquidity and security in Proof-of-Stake networks.
