Over just 5 days of testing, our selected testers completed a total swap volume of $206,356. All swaps were executed directly on Hyperliquid mainnet, providing valuable real-world feedback.
We deeply value the feedback shared by our testers and have incorporated several enhancements to improve the Swap Feature’s usability and performance. Here’s a summary of the most impactful feedback and the actions taken:
A key piece of feedback chosen by our development team highlighted rounding and trade route visibility, driving impactful changes to enhance clarity and usability:
“Is this because Hyperliquid only allows a round amount of token in spot transactions? So we have to round down the amount (47.8739 to 47). However, just from a UX point of view, I feel having two more numbers in ‘Trade Route’ seems redundant and more confusing somehow. IMO, ‘Trade Route’ is a good feature, but we don’t need to have the figures in there. If we need to present the rounded figures, we should put them in the main swap box somehow.” - from sronoz
This feedback was pivotal in identifying areas for improvement. In response, we:
• Improved the presentation of rounded figures, placing them in the main swap box for clarity.
• Simplified the “Trade Route” section to reduce cognitive load.
For example, JEFF can only be swapped in whole numbers (e.g., max swap = 3 JEFF for a balance of 3.9969), while HYPE allows decimal inputs (e.g., 8.09).
Among other feedbacks brought attention to other areas, such as:
“Seamless UX! Only thing I miss a bit is the sorted token list from the token selection popup when buying - it'd be great to have owned assets listed first - maybe sorted descending by USD value?” - kodemill
Action: Tokens are now sorted by balance to improve navigation.
“I would REALLY prefer a pop up to confirm my swap. I clicked and it instantly swapped.” - windyzz
Action: A confirmation step was added to enhance transaction accuracy and user confidence.
“Need to check on HYPE Price and HFUN price in the same time on another device, would be more convenient for investors if the screen below includes the exchange rates of both tx HYPE/USDC and HFUN/USDC….” - moogleboy
Action: Bidirectional rates are now displayed for greater convenience.
We have implemented the following updates, and thanks to the additional input from other fellow testers:
Review Popup: Added to enhance transaction accuracy and user confidence.
Fee Component Display: Now visible to ensure greater transparency.
Bidirectional Rate Display: Shows both Token1 → Token2 and Token2 → Token1 rates.
Decimal Support Display: Clear text shows each token's supported decimal precision. (Note: Due to Token Tick Size on Hyperliquid, some tokens require rounded amounts, while others accept decimals.)
Token Balances Sorting: Tokens are now sorted by balance for easier navigation.
Swappable Balances Only: The swap feature now ensures that only balances eligible for swapping are supported.(Note: Swaps are executed via Hyperliquid’s API, ensuring your funds remain fully under your control. Harmonix neither holds your funds nor has withdrawal permissions for transactions using your available Hyperliquid balance.)
Every piece of feedback helps us refine our products to meet user expectations. The contributions from this testing phase have not only improved the Swap Feature but also provided us with insights for future developments.
