Metis is pleased to announce our Gitcoin L2 Rollathon Hackathon winners! In the spirit of L222 and supporting open source web3 development with Gitcoin, we invited talented developers to build innovative applications on the growing Metis ecosystem.

Decisions were tough! A total of sixteen projects participated in our bounty. The Metis team judged applications based on vision and use case, improving the functionality of DeFi, NFT, and/or DAO applications, a review of projects’ open source code, and the usability of each dApp.

Through careful consideration, we’re thrilled to congratulate three winning teams!

🥇 1st: Metis Cloud winning 3000 USDC | Github

Metis Cloud is a web3 cloud dapp which allows users to easily upload files and folders, as well as even websites to distributed storage systems such as Filcoin Network. Metis Cloud uses a smart contract as the file manager to search the file indexs.

🥈 2nd: ByOrigin winning 1500 USDC | Github

ByOrigin gives a unique identity for products using NFTs and verifies its authenticity by scanning QR codes for the product stored on fully decentralized IPFS storage, ensuring product authenticity to prevent consumers from fradulent products.

🥉 3rd: Metis Crowdfunding winning 500 USDC | Github

A unique crowdfunding platform allowing users to raise, contribute and withdraw funding, only when 50% of people agree.
