The fastest execution layer for modular blockchains

Blockchains are moving away from a monolithic design, where consensus, data availability, and execution are tightly coupled. The future is modular, where execution is separated from data availability and consensus (e.g. tomorrow's Eth2, or Celestia). This separation allows for specialization at the base layer, delivering a significant increase in bandwidth capacity. At Fuel we are building the fastest execution layer for the modular blockchain stack.

There are three central pillars to Fuel’s technology stack:

Parallel transaction execution

The Fuel Virtual Machine (FuelVM)

A superior developer experience (with Sway and Forc)

First, Fuel delivers unmatched processing capacity through its ability to execute transactions in parallel by using strict state access lists in the form of a UTXO model. This enables Fuel to use far more threads and cores of your CPU that are typically idle in single-threaded blockchains. As a result, Fuel can deliver far more compute, state accesses, and transactional throughput than its single-threaded counterparts.

Second, the FuelVM is designed to reduce wasteful processing of traditional blockchain virtual machine architectures, while vastly increasing the potential design space for developers. The design learns from the mistakes of the past and insights from years of production blockchains. Now, developers can go far beyond what they could achieve given the constraints of the EVM.

Third but not least: Fuel provides a powerful and sleek developer experience with our own domain-specific language, called Sway, and a supportive toolchain, called Forc (the Fuel Orchestrator). Our development environment retains the benefits of smart contract languages like Solidity, while adopting the paradigms introduced in the Rust tooling ecosystem. Now, developers can have a completely vertically-integrated experience where every component from

the virtual machine through to the CLI works in harmony.

Why Modular Execution?

A blockchain like no other layer-1 or layer-2.

Monolithic Blockchains

Monolithic layer-1s don't separate execution from consensus, settlement and data layers, constraining the total bandwidth available.

Modular Execution Layers

Modular Execution Layers are designed for high-bandwidth modular blockchains and can better capitalize on high shared data availability

Ecosystem Overview

  1. Fuelet wallet : https://fuelet.app/

Trust and Control

With Fuelet, you have complete control over your crypto assets. Our wallet is non-custodial, meaning you hold the keys to your funds — we don’t store them. This ensures maximum security and peace of mind.

Game-changing UX: Account Abstraction Features

Fuel Account Abstraction with predicates allows us to enable really special features in our wallet. They can greatly simplify your Web3 experience. Here are a few of them:

Paying gas in any token — traditionally, gas fees on blockchains like Ethereum have been paid using the native network token. How has it been working there? Imagine you have some ERC-20 USDC but no ETH in your wallet. In this case, you can’t send your USDC tokens as you need ETH to pay for gas. You can’t swap USDC for ETH, as it also incurs gas fees. To solve the problem, you have to transfer ETH from another account to your wallet. However, with Fuel and Fuelet, there’s no need to constantly have ETH on your account, you can pay the gas fees directly with a USDC token!

Social recovery with guardians, 2FA, and multi-device — no more seed phrases written on the paper, no need to worry about them getting stolen.

Hardware signer — you can transform your iPhone into a hardware wallet. That is possible thanks to the Secure Enclave, a special chip that is located in every iPhone to store biometric data. However, besides it, the Secure Enclave is capable of securely storing cryptographic keys. These keys are generated within the hardware element and remain exclusively within it, providing an impenetrable level of security. To date, there have been no reports of any successful attempts to breach the hardware protection and gain access to these keys. Rest assured, your cryptographic keys are protected within the Secure Enclave.

Daily limits — in case somebody gets access to your wallet, they won’t be able to get all the money away — thanks to the limits!

Batch transactions — sign multiple transactions or buy multiple NFTs at once — and with a smaller gas

2. Thunder Wall

Thunder — is an NFT marketplace with superior experience built on the Fuel Network. Boom.

We’re aiming to build the largest NFT marketplace built on top of the fastest execution layer in the entire Ethereum ecosystem. Ambitious? All it takes is a driven team that’s up for the challenge, and we got it.

What is notable about our platform is that it supports bulk execution. This unique feature will allow you to perform a series of operations in one go — streamlining the process of managing and trading NFTs.

  1. 3. AllSpark

Spark is an order book built on the fuel.network blockchain. It operates using an order book model, allowing users to trade various cryptocurrencies in a secure and transparent manner and enables peer-to-peer trading of cryptocurrencies with high transaction throughput and low fees.

4. Acumen

Acumen Protocol bridges DeFi and TradFi in a regulatory compliant manner transforming emerging capital markets. Acumen is growing the overall DeFi ecosystem by tokenizing Real World Assets (RWA) bringing the significant benefits of tokenization to TradFi. The Acumen protocol acts as a bridge connecting TradFi with DeFi, and opens up a new asset class with attractive stable uncorrelated yield to traditional DeFi participants
