Bubblegum Kids and Puppies it’s been an incredible year. We honestly cannot begin to thank you enough for all the love and support over the last 365 days. In the past year we have been building the Bubblegum Kids brand and we are super proud of how far we have come. We want to be as open and honest with you all as we possibly can. No more roadmaps, no more dates, no more schedule. When something is ready you will know. We will post every single teaser and update that we can. It’s time we get super transparent with you all! Before we get into everything, we want to remind everyone that these are our goals and ambitions for year 2. Sometimes unforeseen things happen that we can’t control. With that being said, let’s do this! So…. What’s next for Bubblegum Kids? Well, here is our year 2 plan!

IP Building

First off, as you all know we have always had a strong emphasis on IP within Bubblegum Land. We are currently working on many different contracts with lawyers to be able to license back individually owned Bubblegum Kids & Puppies for use in our project! We would love to be able to use characters that are owned by our community members for many of the items we have planned in roadmap 2.0.

Where’s Bubblegum?

Where’s Waldo? Cute, but not as cute as Where’s Bubblegum? This will be a prime example of how we plan to license back community members characters to be used in our full hardcover Where’s Bubblegum Book! Bubblegum is a sneaky kid, super-fast and likes to hide! He is a master of disguise. Are you going to be able to find him? We hope to be able to license hundreds of bubblegum kids and puppies for use in this book!

Staking

It’s no secret that we are doing staking. We originally had planned for staking to be finished and ready in August. We could have opened it up, but we didn’t feel happy with the design of the website. As we have said before, we are creating a token with no financial value. The tokens earned are to be used in our own custom marketplace for products such as merchandise, custom items and more! We have recently finalized the design and are now working with our developer to put the final pieces in place! We hope for staking to be opened sometime in October / November and will continue to update you all with images and more info along the way.

Animated Short

We are super excited about the animated short that we are creating and the implications it will have in helping shape the lore of the Bubblegum Universe! To be transparent, the animated short has taken longer than expected but we are certain the quality will be worth the wait! The process has included several voice actors takes, endless storyboard revisions, background changes, character lineup changes and so much more. Every little change adds days if not weeks onto the deadline. We are almost ready to show everyone the trailer, which will be posted to our socials! Now, you all must be wondering… what will happen once the full 10-minute short is finished? Well, the plan is to shop this around to networks such as Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Hulu etc.… This process could take months or even years to get in front of the right people. Also, no guarantee it will even get picked up. Once the full short is ready it will likely be available for view for our holders only while we shop it around! We are super happy with how it has been going and hope to be able to share plenty of updates with you all soon!

Sandbox & VX

We are also continuing our effort to provide our community with exposure to the metaverse. We are doing this by continuing to build a strong relationship with the team at Sandbox, working with incredible builders and are expecting to be included in Alpha Season 4. BGK VX characters will be redeemable with $GUM. In 2023 we will be adding BGP VX…

Merch 2.0

WEN MERCH? First and foremost, we can say once staking is live there will be plenty of limited-edition items available as prizes! We also hope to do a limited-edition merch drop at some point in year 2. We are hopeful we will get a collab with a reputable brand! We do not want to release anything that isn’t super high quality and affordable for all of our holders. We want to spread brand awareness and see everyone rock some awesome BGK & BGP merch!

More Comics

We were SO happy with how our first comic turned out. We feel like comics are an incredible way to build out the LORE of bubblegum land. We want to create a few new comics. We have some ideas of what the stories will be, but we also will be asking for input from our community on this. Dragons vs Dinos? Origins of the 3D glasses? Alien Kids? The stories are endless!

IRL

We want to meet you! IRL events are coming in year 2! We are currently working on a few different plans for what we can do. These include ideas such as a box at a hockey game, BGK dinner, BGK night event and more. We will internally decide which plan is feasible and then we will ask the community, which dates work best for everyone. Honestly, we can’t wait to meet you all IRL.

Skateboards

We have commissioned the incredibly talented KingPickle to create 6 (or 7) sweet Bubblegum Kid & Puppy themed skateboards. To be honest, we don’t even know what the plan is with these. Maybe staking prizes, maybe giveaways, maybe something else. We just want to create them because they’re really damn cool!

Bubblegum Tower Web Game

The floor is rising, choose the fastest character between Bubblegum, KingODawg, Cryptomoron or Shadow! Race to the top and don’t fall on the slippery tiles! Yes, that’s right... we are creating a web game! Limited edition prizes, tracked scores and potential for community characters to be featured are some ideas we have for the game. We posted a teaser on our twitter page and it’s looking awesome so far.

Full Poster Series

Posters… honestly who doesn’t like a good poster. We will be creating a series of 8 posters. How will it be decided what goes on the posters? Community twitter poll competitions! These posters will be worked on by extremely talented artists that will not skip on any detail.

Custom Sneakers

So far, we have done two custom sneakers. The first were Bubblegum Kids themed pink sneakers. We gave the first pair away for free as part of our merch 1.0 drop! The second pair was made for Justin Turner who plays for the LA Dodgers. They were worn during a game in the MLB by Justin Turner himself! We plan to auction those off for charity soon! Now, we plan to create another few pairs that will be given away in unique ways throughout the year!

Full Map & Lore

Have you ever wondered where the dragon kids live? What about where the alien kids came from? Or how some kids have toxic gum and others have generic colors? We plan to continue to build the entire map of Bubblegum Land and the lore of many traits within the world!

Bubblegum Brand

OK, this may be the most ambitious goal and plan we have in mind. To preface, we have absolutely NO idea if this will work. The candy industry is one of the oldest and hardest industries to break into. Over the past few months, we have had endless calls with many companies from the industry. We originally had tried doing a collaboration with another bubblegum or candy brand and simply have had no luck. Months later, we believe that we have found a manufacturer that can help us build our own bubblegum brand. The plan would be to start with bubblegum and grow to become a full line of candy and gum products. If we break into this industry the brand awareness for our project would go through the roof. So, to be as transparent as possible, we are still in very early talks of manufacturing our own brand. We truly hope that we can make this happen but at the moment there are still many unknowns.
