An Overview of Crypto Valleys

Introducing Crypto Valleys, the go-to GameFi experience on Blast!

At its core, Crypto Valleys is a DeFi game with elements inspired by Gacha games. It's a straightforward yet richly layered game in which players engage in farming, crafting, exploring, and trading, all while earning YIELD and developing their own Valley.

The full deployment of Crypto Valleys will be divided into two distinct phases:

  • Phase 1: Focuses on distributing YIELD and offers intuitive gameplay for both the everyday gamer and your good ol’ DeFi degen.

  • Phase 2: Introduces advanced gameplay mechanics, aiming to balance YIELD and the game’s economic stability.

This overview covers most of the base game mechanics. Ready to dive in?

Phase 1: Farmhouse & Farmland

Your journey begins on your Farmhouse, A.K.A., your base of operations. Here, you’ll be able to keep track of key stats, manage referrals & points, review the weekly leaderboard, and, if your Valley's level is sufficiently high, you’ll be able to open the daily reward chest. When you open a chest, you can expect to find a range of relevant rewards, such as crops, items, produce, and even locked YIELD, the game's tradeable currency! Additionally, special events and NPC encounters will all be accessible from here, so make sure to come back from time to time.

Now, the first step in your Valley's development involves acquiring crops. These are primarily obtained in the Marketplace through Crop Packs, special loot packs purchasable with YIELD that drop a mix of three crops, ranging from common to legendary tier (P.S. for Blast fans: crop packs have a chance to drop the contract’s accumulated gas fee refunds!). The rarity of crops dropped is influenced by your Valley's level, as higher levels significantly increase the odds of obtaining higher-rarity crops.

Crops can be planted on any of your base Farmland plots, and after a set amount of time given by their lifecycle, they will fully grow. Matured crops can be harvested for locked and unlocked YIELD, along with their respective produce. What if you want to maximize the growth rate of your crops? What about increasing the produce? That's where items come into play, offering numerous ways to optimize your farming strategy and maximize returns.

Phase 1: The Marketplace

During Phase 1 and 2, the Crypto Valleys Marketplace will be the game’s pivotal trading hub. Here, players can buy crop packs and various items to enhance their crops’ growth and productivity. Items available will range from common ones like fertilizer and compost to rarer finds like the efficiency catalyst and mystic growth elixir. However, higher-tier items require prior Valley upgrades for access, as they’re unlocked after given level thresholds. The best part? Transactions within the Marketplace are exclusively conducted with YIELD, and all YIELD spent is immediately burnt (minus fees from referrals). Mid-way through Phase 1, the P2P Market stand will become available, allowing free trade of crops and items. With the introduction of Phase 2, new Marketplace stands will open, selling various products, such as cooking recipes and equipment for adventurers!

Phase 1: Valley Upgrades

Players can customize and level up their farm by burning a set amount of YIELD to gain various long-term economic and gameplay benefits. Upgrades play a significant role in the game's progression, offering a path for players to considerably maximize the ROI of crops and their overall farm productivity, while also unlocking gameplay mechanics that would otherwise be inaccessible. It is important to note that not all upgrade levels provide the same advantages. Still, the following are some of the benefits players can expect to gain as they level up their Valley:

  • Improve the roll chances of crop packs dropping higher-tier crops.

  • Grant a multiplier to the locked and unlocked YIELD reward that all crops generate.

  • Expand the number of plots available for planting on the Farmland.

  • Unlock rare, epic, and legendary items & equipment from the Marketplace.

  • Gain access to buildings, such as the Adventurer’s Guild and the Kitchen.

  • Unlock the daily chest claims.

  • Become a qualified sponsor.

  • …among many others!

Phase 1: Weekly Competitions

Weekly competitions are a fun mechanic that intends to heavily incentivize participation in the Crypto Valleys ecosystem. How does it work? Every week, certain tasks will be posted on the in-game Leaderboard; tasks could involve referring friends, earning YIELD, and so on. The top performers will be able to claim special rewards of up to Legendary rarity!

Phase 1: Referrals

Influencers, as well as players with a Valley’s level sufficiently high enough, unlock the ability to become sponsors. This role enables them to extend Crypto Valley invitations to friends and family, welcoming them as referrals. Whenever referrals of a registered sponsor spend YIELD, both the referral and their sponsor instantly receive a YIELD cashback (2%, 5%). This system not only fosters community growth but also ensures mutual benefits for all involved parties, ensuring it is worthwhile for referrals to join the game via a sponsor!

Phase 2: Adventures, Cooking & Crafting!

With the introduction of Phase 2, the familiar Crop Packs will be grandfathered to make way for a new economic model built around adventures and P2P marketplace transactions. This change aims to stabilize the game's economy, particularly after the initial intensive distribution of YIELD. But, what does this mean for your gaming experience?

Players who have diligently leveled their Valley up will unlock access to the Tavern, Adventurer’s Guild, and Kitchen, each offering different opportunities:

  1. The Tavern: Here, players can hire (A.K.A. mint) adventurer NFTs with YIELD, each with their own set of skills and potential for exploration. Naturally, all YIELD spent in the Tavern is permanently burnt.

  2. Adventurer’s Guild: The Guild hosts quest givers, each offering a variety of missions. Quests let players send their adventurers out into the wild where they will face tasks of varying difficulty and uncertainty. The outcome of these quests is influenced by numerous factors, such as the level and equipment of the adventurers, as well as the active buffs they carry. Quest rewards typically include YIELD and crops, but adventurers may encounter random events that can lead to rare finds, such as food recipes, exotic crops, equipment, and items.

  3. The Kitchen: A hub where players can craft food using recipes and the produce they've farmed. Food provides active buffs to adventurers, enhancing their abilities and chances of success in their endeavors.
