Xinhua Wuhan, December 22 (Wu Wenhua, Jiao Guobin) on the 21st, the locomotive of Hubei Badong section of Zheng Wan high-speed railway roared. With the last rail laid on the ballastless track bed, the whole line of Zheng Wan high-speed railway was laid and connected.
Zheng Wan high-speed railway is an important part of China’s “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed railway network. The whole line is 818km, and the proportion of bridges and tunnels is as high as 90%. Among them, the Hubei section is 287km long (33km in Badong), with a design speed of 350km per hour. It is the main high-speed passenger passage connecting central and North China in Southwest China.
Zhengzhou Wanzhou high-speed railway has entered Hubei Province from Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and the section from Zhengzhou to Xiangyang has been opened to traffic at the end of 2019. After the track laying of Xiangyang Wanzhou section is completed, the static acceptance stage will be carried out soon. It is expected that the joint commissioning and test will be carried out in January next year, and the track will be opened to traffic in the first half of next year. Badong County will take the lead in entering the era of high-speed rail in Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province. It takes only more than 2 hours to Chongqing and Zhengzhou.
