1. Market Data & Analysis

Mirroring the malaise of the greater crypto world, the metaverse market did not perform well this week. Aggregated 7-day market cap and trading volume for the seven projects listed on OneLand were down 4.67% and 12.5% respectively for the week.

Yuga Labs’ Otherside continues to dominate the market, but this dominance is down again this week. Trading volume dipped 11.1% and market cap was down 6.2% for the week.

Voxels pushed its new Architect Island and Chronos Islands this week. The unique philosophies of the two islands, plus news of Voxels teaming up with decentralized, art-based NFT marketplace Rarible gave Voxels a boost — trading volume up 5.4%, market cap up marginally 0.3% for the week.

Yahoo announced its intention to launch a series of metaverse projects this week. Its Electric City experience week held in Dencentraland also created a brief rally for prices of both LAND in Decentraland and its native token MANA. One Estate was purchased for 99,888 MANA (77 ETH), with average price climbing 20.7% and trading volume up 9.5% for the week. This despite the number of actual sales declining 93.75%.

There was a marked drop in sales of virtual lands compared to last week, except for Somnium Space. Its 700% jump is only a back-to-normal following last week’s poor showing of just 1 sale. Average price was up 39%, though land cap down 2% for the week.

The PANGU ECOLAND NFT collection from PANGUKENAL has been listed on The Sandbox marketplace. Pangu Ecoland is the first sustainable LAND in The Sandbox. Part of the revenues generated will be allocated to reforestation efforts of areas on our actual planet — IRL.

Real SupDucks holders were able to claim their VX Duck in The Sandbox. For those who missed the chance, a public mint also ran June 16–18 at 1500 $VOLT per Duck.

Digital asset exchange LBank Exchange listed its Metaverse Art Blockchain (MABC). while the pair MABC/USDT kicked off official trading. MABC plans to achieve digital assetization in all kinds of art including traditional, public, digital and sound.

OpenSea migrated to Sea Port protocol. The move lowers gas fees, cuts transaction costs by 35% (saving over $460m) and allows offers on entire collections or multiple items.

Europe’s leading metaverse festival MET AMS was live-streamed in Decentraland.

MET AMS ran from June 15–18 in Amsterdam, and featured panels, workshops and immersive experiences exploring all aspects of the metaverse from art and music to fashion and gaming.

EduDAO hosted a career fair in Decentraland‘s Career Center to offer networking opportunities for students looking for dream jobs or opportunities in the Metaverse.
