Burberry took out the inaugural Fashion Award for Metaverse World and Gaming Experience at The Fashion Awards in London.

Metamask

• Dec 6

Now it’s Metamask too. Following Apple’s decision to block Coinbase’s latest app update over the issue of taxing gas fees 30%, Metamask co-founder and ex-Apple employee Dan Finlay says he’s ready to dump the Apple ecosystem.

Aave Companies

• Dec 6

Aave Companies acquired social metaverse developer Sonar. The acquistion will see

Sonar integrate Aave’s Lens protocol to introduce decentralised account profiles for

its social mobile metaverse app.

Decentraland

Decentraland announced the return of Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) to be held March 28–31, 2023, at the conclusion of the annual Spring/Summer Fashion season.

Animoca

• Dec 6

Animoca Brands took a majority stake in music metaverse gaming platform Pixelynx (founded by electronic musicians & DJs deadmau5, Plastikman, Inder Phull, Ben Turner & Dean Wilson).

In May, Pixelynx announced their first AR music experience, Elynxir, powered by Niantic Lightship.

Ledger

Ledger launched its new model, Ledger Stax. Credit-card sized & NFT-friendly, the model features a large curved E-Ink touchscreen, with holders able to personalize their screens with their favorite pics or NFTs.

The device is not shipped till March, however people can mint the NFT bundle to preorder and receive a free Magnet shell.

Decentraland launched LAND rental features. All users can now find LANDs listed for rent in the Marketplace under the LAND section.

Voxels

• Dec 6

Voxels released the new costumer function, allowing you to see all your wearables at once and drag them onto your body slot. Gizmos for dragging & rotating, a skin editor and off-chain wearables will also be released shortly.

Somnium Space

Somnium Space released its new “Watch Together” & “Portals“ features inside the SomniumWeb client. Not only can you watch several videos at once on a PARCEL, but you can place teleport buttons on your PARCEL! #interoperability
