1. Market Data & Analysis

Though overall aggregate land market cap and trading volume for all 7 metaverses on OneLand fell by 4% and 14.3% respectively this week, several projects showed some positive movements for the week.

The Sandbox had yet another active week, with the launches of Ledgerverse and its Bug Bounty Program helping the metaverse to keep its community focused. Trading volume made a significant recovery last week, up 18.6%, while land market cap was also up 3.7%.

Meanwhile, trading volume continues to fluctuate in Decentraland, down 37.6% this week on the back of recent week-on-week movements of +137%, -84%, +9.5% and -15%. Market cap was also down significantly (-15.1%).

Otherside held two load tests this week in preparation for its First Trip tech demo set for July 16. Nevertheless, enthusiasm continues to wane overall from the peaks of May, when lands first sold, sales declining by 19.8% this week, canceling out last week’s up-trend. Meanwhile, NFT Worlds’ trading activity continues to fizzle, recording a second week of sizable double-digit declines in trading volume (-29.8%).

Sales for Worldwide Webb were back up this week by 18.9%. The metaverse has been hard at work on development, with the project continuing to post weekly progress updates in an effort to maintain energy amongst the community amidst the hefty recent challenges of the bear market.

Meanwhile, Somnium Space had another good week, weekly sales reaching 11 after poor showings of just 5 and 1 transactions over the previous fortnight and its overall market cap showing signs of recovery, up 12% for the week.

The Cardano Metaverse utility token LONIA went on pre-sale for investors who wanted to acquire it at a discount before its official listing on exchanges.

Cardano Island launches its pre- and public land sale. Cardano Island forms part of Terra Virtua, a gamified metaverse where you can play and interact with iconic brands, build and showcase your NFT collection.

Planetarium Labs

• July 7

Planetarium Labs, which is building a community-driven Web3 game network, has raised $32 million in a Series A funding round led by Animoca Brands. The funds will be used to build out its network with tools for gaming and player governance.

Thumbay Group

• July 7

The UAE together with healthcare provider Thumbay Group will launch the first hospital in the Metaverse, to go live in October. The virtual hospital will be fully functional, with patients able to visit as avatars, and interact with doctors.
