The market continued to grow steadily this week.

With the blessing of the popularity of Alpha Season2, The Sandbox’s traded quantity remains ahead of the pack among the metaverse projects.

Remarkably, the average price in Decentraland maintained its momentum from last weekend’s rise with a rapid surge at the end of the week. This comes on the back of its Fashion Week warm-up and the testing of the Decentraland Desktop Client.

The Sandbox

• The Sandbox issued an agency list intended to bring new brands and partners into the Web3 ecosystem and support them in building their presence in the Metaverse.

• The Sandbox announced that a Community Booster has been applied to all Season 2 Alpha Passes, with the total amount of SAND staked by the community to decide the final amount of rewards.According to the rules, if the Community Booster reaches 100% of its target, the rewards earned will be 1,000 SAND for all holding an S2 Alpha Pass. If it doesn’t, the rewards earned wll be 500 SAND. Players can secure a Pass by playing The Sandbox, joining challenges and collecting raffle tickets.

• The Sandbox released its preview of this week’s Alpha Season 2 events.

• The Sandbox announced a partnership with Meta Ring. The Sandbox will raffle off 100 Alpha Passes to Venly MetaRing owners as part of the perks. The Sandbox will take a snapshot of all wallets holding a MetaRing on Mar 10. MetaRing will grant the holder 1 ticket in the raffle. Only players who have purchased a MetaRing, joined Meta Ring’s Discord and the private MetaRing Club, and submitted the Alpha passes raffle form are eligible to participate in the raffle.

• The Sandbox partnered up with World of Women by way of a generous $25 million fund to lead and support women into the Metaverse. The funding will be provided to the WoW Foundation over a 5-year period with the purpose of driving female inclusivity by way of education and mentorship.The foundation ​​will focus on four main pillars: uplifting the ecosystem through their support of artists and funding projects; educating newcomers; promoting visibility of women-centric causes, while inspiring others; and giving back to charities.In addition to the WoW fund, further developments to achieve the fund’s missions will be promoted via multiple initiatives that will evolve during the course of the projects, including World of Women 3D interoperable Avatars, The WoW Museum, The WoW University and The WoW Academy.

• The Sandbox finally launched their MacOS version of Sandbox Alpha S2.

• The Sandbox announced a new partnership with Dogami. The partnership will see the development of NFT interoperability between the Tezos and Ethereum blockchains. At the same time, Dogami will build the first pet-friendly experience in the Sandbox.The Sandbox and Dogami will give away 5 Sandbox Alpha passes to Discord members of Dogami to celebrate the announcement. The Sandbox will also gift 5 limited-edition voxel Dogamí avatars to members of their community.

• Omnimorphs organized an event to give away a S2 pass. People who post their selfie with Omniporph in Sandbox and attach the tag #OmnimorphSelfie# will earn the chance to get the pass.

• The Sandbox launched an NFT Collection to celebrate Care Bears’ 40th Anniversary, creating a series of 29 voxelized NFTs for people to purchase and use in their own game experience. These assets were added to the current Care Bears™ NFT Collection on March 11 (3pm UTC).

• Cryptovoxels announced they have completed the fixing of several bugs.

1. Added Suburb/island location above the minimap; clicking on the component will copy the URL of your position.
2. Fixed loading of nearby parcels

• Cryptovoxels posted a Tweet to collect suggestions from users about new names. The metaverse will rename itself on April 1.

• Somnium Space released a new website: Somnium Events, a 1-stop resource for all events in the Somnium Space metaverse. Each event on the site is a so-called ‘event card’, which tells people everything they need to know. Plus, each event will show a set of icons for VR mode, 2D mode, Somnium WEB and Live Stream to people when they click on the image.

3. The interoperable multiplayer & NPC functionality inside the apartment and music function & proximity voice chat are being worked on.

NFTWorlds

• NFTWorlds announced that they are able to verify NFT ownership for players from any Ethereum or Polygon NFT collection.

• Staking for NFTWorlds went live. People who own an NFTWorld can stake their NFTWorlds to earn $WRLD. Staked Worlds can be listed for rent for others to use or build on in the NFTWorlds ecosystem.Worlds that are staked are unable to be listed for sale; holders first need to be unstaked from the staking/renting contract.

• NFTWorlds announced their new “Vitrified Project” system. Projects building on the NFT Worlds platform can fill out the “NFT Worlds Verified Project” application, which will provide NFTWorlds with personal information about the project and its founders.Verified Projects will get Special badges on the NFT Worlds Play server, website and the NFT Worlds Launcher, and will be factored into the ranking algorithm within the NFT Worlds Launcher (Verified Projects will appear higher on the list).
