1. Market Data & Analysis

This week, the aggregated market cap of all 7 metaverses listed on OneLand dipped another 1.92%, but trading volume rebounded led by Decentraland and Otherside (but also Somnium Space), recovering a healthy 12.33%. Holders were down 1.29% for the week.

Decentraland enjoyed a recovery following last week’s bad showing — trade volume +137% and sales +133%, with market cap stable. Several LANDs around the 4 ETH mark were sold, however it already feels a long time since we witnessed any big buys; the last of any note happened on June 13 for 78.86 ETH, while no parcel of LAND has been sold for above 7 ETH for more than two weeks. Average price was down for the week, and the month.

Otherside’s performance picked up somewhat in the past week, and it comes on the back of news that Noah Davis, formerly part of Christie’s NFT team, joined Yuga Labs to steward the CryptoPunks brand. Trade volume increased 24.7% this week, sales up almost 20%. According to the official announcement, The First Trip is coming July 16, and the market will be watching closely to see if Otherside can set any new records.

Though sales were down for The Sandbox, average price jumped 13% after LAND #77308 sold for 27 ETH in the biggest purchase since May 15, and over 8 times the current floor price. Market cap was down 7% for the week, mirroring all other projects apart from Decentraland.

Prices were not high, but at least Somnium Space had a return to activity with 5 land sales in one day, ranging from 0.7 to 1.0 ETH. The average price for the metaverse continues to dip in a bear market, but holders stay firm.
