Chainway unveils “Citrea”

The Chainway team unveiled “Citrea”, its rollup that is looking to become Bitcoin’s first zk-rollup.In the announcement, the released documentation on the rollup’s design and links to their new community chats.

Build on Bitcoin release “Optimine” whitepaper

The Build on Bitcoin team have released the “Optimine” whitepaper. Optimine is a way for rollup sequencers to be merge-mined by Bitcoin miners, and inherit some security properties from Bitcoin.

It’s definitely a new take on how rollups can better align with Bitcoin, and could be the spark of some really interesting Layer 2 designs.Check out the paper below.

Sovyrn releases plans for “Bitcoin OS”

The Sovryn team released its plans for “Bitcoin OS” which would empower an ecosystem of rollups that would settle on Bitcoin.

This announcement follows some of their content hinting at a transition to a rollup model, and were thrilled to see the Sovryn team moving in this direction.
